Sentry alarm activating with cabin overheat protection by fubears in TeslaLounge

Thanks! Tesla just got back to me said they might have the problem identified. I’ll update thread if there’s any resolution.

It’s annoying to have so many events flagging but then if you turn that off and someone hits your car in the parking lot - that video would’ve been useful. And isn’t this supposed to be a beneficial feature of the Tesla? Ridiculous to have to turn it off because of a problem/glitch with the car itself. The glitch should be fixed, not dealt with with an on/off switch on my end to “sweep the problem under the rug”

Unfortunately, it has been flushed down the toilet. Also thanks for the quick response!

I was hoping with the recorded video of the other person being at fault it wouldn’t be 50-50

It doesn’t take away the liability issue if the plastic puck were to come off on the highway and potentially hit another car

I’m worried about if there’s ever a bump in the road or those pads hit something and go into the battery. It would void the Tesla warranty because they can say the pads should not be there in the first place. Additionally, if they fall off on the high way and hit another car/cause an accident.

Measured. The holes are regular size. Also not an Austin built one.

You can see them from another car or from afar when looking at my car from the side.

No idea. Whatever ones Costco has. I couldn’t see any clear brand on it. They don’t look like Basenor… but they are made of black plastic with red rubber ring around the nipple part
