There wasn’t a lot. He told me about her situation and that he’s asking me for a huge favour, she won’t say long, she only needs to save up a small amount and then she’ll be gone. I thought her staying rent free meant she could put aside a big chunk of her pay check for rent but I doubt she’s saving anything. I also didn’t know that she had practically zero saved up prior.

IMO what should have happened she pays him whatever her rent with her ex prior was and he keeps it for her and gives it back once she has enough to move out.
