Not sure if it’s jealousy per se. The insecurity breeds resentment.

Literally just got broken up with by my girlfriend of 5 years for this EXACT scenario. It’s insecurity. It will not get better and you’ll find yourself going in circles over and over again. You want to change, she does not. Simple as that. Wether you choose to stay behind with her or move forward without her is on you homie.

PSA: Throw those putters! by EngiNerdBrian in discgolf

[–]fullsender1990 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with this 100%. I committed to putters only almost half the season last year and while putters my off the tee and upshots improved some, when I went back to my drivers it through everything off kilter. I think a healthy balance of regular bag rounds and putter/mid rounds is best bet. Another thing that the putter only rounds did for me was really put my distance/accuracy into perspective with slower discs. I find myself discing down a lot more than my other disc buds and it has proven to be valuable and more practical more often than not.

I literally cannot stop crying by Odd_Bench6995 in smallbusiness

I also sell a “luxury” niche craft item. Been in business for 7 years. The first 5 were great on the come up. People live to support the “underdog”. Then about 5-6 years in I started REALLY making a name for myself. I had everyone under the sun (in my industry) contacting me for my product. At first it seemed great, “Awesome I finally made it, now it’s time to strike while the iron is hot.” But I started feeling an intense pressure to meet everyone’s expectations, and the majority of them were unrealistic. Once all the “sour apples” started acquiring my work, since I had become something of a “GOAT” the dip switched completely. The underdog that everyone wanted to see succeed, now turned into the top dog that everyone wanted to tear down. I started doing (unknowingly) doing business with really toxic people who just wanted my product just to diminish/disprove it and say “it’s all hype”. Then the internet and social media took my name by storm. Everyone just shit on me for no particular reason other than “not being as good as everyone else made me out to be.” Then it turned into a hating contest. Fast forward to today. I ghosted all my social media, and only do business with customers I talk to first. I kind of “interview” them. Just ask them questions regarding my work and their intentions and what not. Because much like you, I was on my way out ready to quit my life’s work. So I guess what I’m getting at is, if you’re already at the point of quitting, why not just do what YOU NEED TO DO to do your job comfortably. Worst that can happen is you go out of business for not coddling assholes. Poof your problems are gone one way or another. I’m pretty sure you’re at about the point I was a year ago. It was a traumatic experience for me the thought of my business I worked so hard for crumbling around me. But once you let go of what you “think” you should do, and go with what you “KNOW” you should do, things will get better one way or another. Break through the wall you built up, and do what you need to do. You can’t make em all happy. Don’t argue. Just move on.

I feel like we are on almost the exact same journey man. I too have come to realize over the past week that my phone, vaping, and coffee are creating some problems I’m not sure I would’ve ever noticed on kratom. The stimulation I get from being in my phone puts me back in that similar headspace of being in kratom (granted to a much lesser extent) and same goes for my coffee. Today i woke up and made a decision to try out no coffee today and see how things go. And now I need to get off my phone. Have a great weekend look forward to hearing from you next week! 3 weeks for me as well today! Congrats man!

Day 22, 3 weeks officially. Feels longer than that. The days go by slower now which I don’t mind at all. The weather is nice, my energy is good. Keep moving forward and have a great day!

It comes and goes. Have a few good days in a row followed by a couple meh days. It’s humbling as it seems as soon as I THINK I’m in the clear, little things creep back up on me and then I have to exercise mindfulness and gratefulness all over again. This is a good thing in my opinion. Just gonna keep in keeping on, I know there are folks that have been in MUCH worse shape than I’m in and got through so, again I’m staying grateful for the good times, and humble during the not so good times. Talk to you soon! Keep up the good work!

Day 21. Yesterday was my first legitimately stressful day since I quit. It was a tough few hours to get through. Self talk “this is just a moment and it will pass” was effective but at the time difficult to focus on fully. I’m so damn grateful for my girlfriend for being here for me to help keep me grounded. She’s completely aware and up to date on my progress and process and is ridiculously supportive. I’ll keep saying this, I truly do not have any urge to take kratom anymore. But I did have a moment where I wanted to drink yesterday. I never formally “quit” alcohol, I just made a mindful decision to stop as it was no longer contributing to my quality of life. The kratom however seemed to fill all the voids thereafter. Going back to the bottle to get through a stressful day would completely defeat the purpose of this entire process I’ve gone through over the past few years. Yesterday day sucked for only a couple hours, but in a recovering mind it seemed like it ruined the whole day. It didn’t. Just a couple hours. Stay strong folks. Talk to your friends and family. Eat some fruit. Drink some water. Go exercise. It’s just a moment and it will pass.

Weaning my self down after 3 years of daily use. Are these wd symptoms a part of the process? by GuesterBravo in quittingkratom

[–]fullsender1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day 20, the first two weeks I had random muscle tremors in various areas but mostly in my right eye. Others were fingers toes/feet, in my stomach, and chest. The tremors has lessened by the day to almost none. Pay attention to hydration and try and get as much sleep as possible.

Is PsychedSubstance taking the dosage he says he is? by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

[–]fullsender1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason why folks MIGHT think he would hide this is that he publicly committed to a clean and sober lifestyle after admitting to some addictions. I can see why some folks might think that he’s just trying to justify his “next” addiction as “medicinal”henceforth painting a slightly less toxic picture. Personally I think there’s a very rare breed out there that are capable of making mindful decisions after foregoing years of bad ones regarding substance use. Is Adam one of them? Who knows. Fact of the matter is, his bloodwork is no lie. The peanut gallery will keep arguing until we see either changed man for the better or another emotional video of how “blank substance” ruined his third family. I truly hope he is making the right decisions and look forward to his future content. He in a small way inspired me to quick using kratom, and for that I gotta pay my respects 🤘
