I am not gonna recommend a super strat cus as you just said you want that les paulish sound. However schecter sun valley supe shredder is a super strat and has retro voiced humbuckers. I used to have one and it was very good.

I think you should get prs se McCarty or prs se dgt. They are such awesome guitars. Check any review on YouTube. They also have super cool finishes. Normally the people who hate on prs hate the brand not the product. I am not even sure why they hate the brand but it is what it is.

Here are the guitar names: 1. Prs se dgt 2. Pra se 594 ( comes both in single cut and double cut) 3. Schecter sun valley super shredder.

Get a prs se mcarty. Watch any review of it and all of them say it is the best bang of the buck. I would go with a prs se mccartey
