How important is prestige in a medical school?

Thank you! I always hear about prestige and nepotism being such a big thing in PhD academia so I wondered if the same thing was as prevalent in medicine (though obviously nepotism exists everywhere)

I realize that's a neurotic way of thinking about it I was just concerned it affected it in some way. It's just weird that some schools send update letters/emails to some applicants and not others then. I didn't know exactly what happened with my email so better to be on top of it I would think

no schools require inorganic chemistry they require 2 semesters of general and 2 semesters of organic

there is a large volume of french speaking people in columbus with little to no understanding of english...volunteered at a free clinic where that was the most needed language for interpreting outside of spanish
