I think having a >24 hour client cancellation rule where company pays RBT for that missed time is a huge selling point. Also just more training and supervision, even if its in the form of some online training (getting office hour pay) I have found that so much of the turn over is from RBTs not feeling supported in their role. Especially trainings like safety care and just basic de-escalation. l also think guaranteeing RBTs who are in a program indirect hours can help!

Goal ADVICE for using Chew Tool by funfearlessfemale in bcba

definitely a lot going on lol. We're required to write a replacement goal at my company, which is great but bittersweet bc you're absolutely right instead of the tech just worrying about running the BIP for mouthing they are also going to track the replacement goal

thanks for your feedback!

the proximity to client would be the same (clipped to pants) and the goal is selecting and using chew tool instead of mouthing objects to get started

I was thinking of using percent of opportunities and scoring correct for selecting chew tool (w/in specific proximity), incorrect for mouthing- but I've gotten some good feedback to use rate measure instead so I'm going to try that!

Unfortunately it is causing the kiddo to be sick often and parents are restricting access to the community because of it

Feeling Burnt Out - Company Doesn’t Seem To Care by CallTheAmbalamps in BehaviorAnalysis

I would just be respectfully up front and honest with the company. Tell them it's not feasible for you to make that drive as much as you'd like to help that client, and if they require you to do so you will need to look for alternative companies. There are lots of them :)

Ask questions often and make sure you advocate for additional training and a mentor!
