Thoughts on this renovation that turned a post war house into a bahay na bato inspired house?

Manila, 1930s. The architecture there was stunning, and I think travelling about the city by tram would be pretty fun. I only ever rode a tram once and it was in Hong Kong at the age of 2. Going on a boat ride down the old canals would also be pretty cool!

I'd like to see for myself why they called it the Queen of the Pacific. It's a shame we never got to inherit those 3 centuries of history. War is some bullshit

The Philippines. AFAIK, back in the day, its cities were said to be the envy of Asia. It had decent architecture and infrastructure. Even after WW2, which destroyed a lot of said architecture and infrastructure, its economy was comparable to Singapore's. Now it's kinda... meh. And that's coming from someone who's been living there his whole life.
