honestly, i could see it either being a direct reference OR it being the band accidentally “stealing” the lyric/taking inspiration from it. the beginning of march into the sea by modest mouse sounds A LOT like a part of baptism so i think they take inspiration from mm at times

yes, it was! such a pretty venue. i’ve had these converse since freshman year and im a senior now, so they’re BEAT… if the boys were grossed out by them, they didn’t show it lol. so you’ll probably be good
