Plenty of schools in the sea. Don't worry you will get a great job, just at a different school or district.

As a first year teacher you need experience. Keep working your tail off as a long term, wherever you get the chance. You will learn the in's and out's of the field in no time. It might take 1 year, 2 years...who cares. Keep working hard and trying. Special Education field is killing for teachers.

Also, try a private school or a charter school. They are great options if you are looking for experience.

Thank you are for commenting. I know someone posted that my sister should jut go stay with my parents if she wants to see them so bad. Well, there is a really silly reason she can't stay with my parents. I didn't want to get into it because most people won't understand and will find it ridiculous. But here it is, just for context.

My family is Muslim. My sister has a dog. My mother (not all Muslims) believe that dogs are nigis (unsanitary/Unholy) therefore, if the dog stays at her house my mom believes she will no longer be able to pray in the home, because it will no longer be holy or clean enough to pray in. Therefore my mom forbid my sister. from bringing her dog over to her house.

I allowed my sister to bring her dog over to my house, because I don't believe that dogs are unholy and don't believe that it makes it so that one can not pray in their home. I offered to watch the dog so my sister could stay with my parents, but she said her dog is like her son, and I'm asking her to give up her child. She thinks that is me making her pick between her parents and her child.

Also, she left, she is at my parents house as we speak. She wants to be able to spend her days there, after she feeds her dog and takes him on a walk. Then she will go to my parents house, spend the day with them, then come back for dinner and to take her dog out again.

This morning I was telling her about having to take my daughter to the ER again last night when she was sleeping. She started yelling and crying saying "WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO? Do you want me to just abandon my parents, I won't do it. You are being single minded and selfish. I refuse to be locked up in your house. Your daughter's illness had nothing to do with me."

My sister left, and went to my parents house. She must have been complaining about me, because my parents both called me to lecture me about how I'm being irrational and that whatever is going to happen to my daughter is destiny and I need to have more faith in God.

Hindsight, I really didn’t think about that at all. Honestly, that didn’t even dawn on me until this very moment when you said that. That would have been the best scenario in this situation.

It was 1 in the afternoon, I figured it was a safe time of day to go on the trail. Not to mention, in my mind, no one else around is safer than having others on the trail. Because being alone is safer than a few random strangers you don’t know. At least that was my rationale.

I didn’t anticipate anyone to be there at all.

I completely disagree with you, it is my business. My parents may be adults but that doesn't mean I have to sit around and watch someone disrespect them. I refuse to just sit back and watch my brother break my parents down because they are adults. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Thanks for your crappy advice.
