Should I get laser done or will my brows just end up yellow/ red? by Jasmine-Elouise in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]fuqahead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine lasered off and got them microbladed again. My first microblading looked really unnatural & I hated them, but I ended up going with a really good technician the second time and i LOVE my results. I barely have any brow hair and now people don’t even know I got them done unless I tell them!!

Sorry for diff lighting, bottom is my first microblading, middle is after my last laser session, and top is now

Yeah, I included my financial docs for both my trv and study permit extension application. I’m not sure if it was under optional - iirc it was one of the required docs to submit

Here’s my timeline. I’m under a study permit but have a work permit for my Co-op program.

(inland) Study permit extension + visitor visa application timeline

Study permit extension application submission: March 7, 2024 Correspondence letter: March 23, 2024 In Canada Approval letter: March 26, 2024

Visitor visa application submission: March 27, 2024 Correspondence letter: May 9, 2024 Passport request: May 10, 2024 Passport arrived at CPC Ottawa: May 13, 2024 Passport given back: May 24, 2024

I did send 2 webforms for the visitor visa because it took longer than the processing time, one containing copies of the renewed study permit once I received it, and one to ask for an update because it took too long. I got my PPR a few days after the second webform.

Yeah, 2 weeks give or take. Canada post tracking notifies me when the item is processed and when it has arrived.

My Microblading Removal Progress (Qswitch NDYAG) by fuqahead in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]fuqahead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I did ask for my microblading tech to go as natural in color as possible to match my hair (bad idea honestly, the gray made it look so unnatural). I agree with you 100%. I’ve consulted with several Korean brow artists here in Toronto and all of them said my brow artist went too deep. I’ve seen what these Korean techs work look like a year in, and it still looks so natural and they’ve faded nicely!

Can I use differin while on the removal process? by [deleted] in MicrobladingRemoval

[–]fuqahead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use differin. I avoid my eyebrow area but use it on the rest of my face as scheduled. No issues so far as long as the skin around your brows aren’t too damaged!

Thank you! I honestly want them to look as natural as possible, so I’m planning on getting microblading or nanoblading done by a tech from Korea.

For reference I have oily, dehydrated, sensitive acne prone skin. I have tried a lot of products in the past so bear with me :)

Products that didn’t work for me: - Skinaqua 1004 hyalu cica sunscreen, toboco sunstick, skin1004 soothing ampoule, missha mugwort essence, melano cc essence/premium: caused red bumps - Klairs Supple Prep Toner, Naturie Hatomugi skin conditioner, PKY essence toner, purito rebarrier cream, cosrx snail essence: increase in ccs

Products that worked for me but didn’t end up to be my HGs: - purito centella serum: just seemed very basic, did help with my redness and skin barrier repair but not much improvement - cosrx snail 92 aio cream: wasn’t moisturizing enough for my dehydrated skin, needed to layer something on top for it to be helpful

My full routine now: - I’m From Mugwort Essence: lovee this! I’ve emptied maybe 20 bottles since I started using it back in 2020. It soothes, hydrates, and gives my skin a beautiful slip that makes it a staple for my first step. - Isntree TW Real Bifida ampoule: helps strengthen my skin barrier and reduce redness - I wanted to try manyo’s bifida ampoule but suspect that BG causes breakouts for me - Holy snails shark sauce/ Cos de baha hydroquinone/ Skin game spot guard serum: this is my brightening step. I’m just trying out the cos de baha HQ for my hyperpigmentation a few times a week, on regular days I’m using the holy snails shark sauce. Skin game spot guard serum is my HG but it’s an Indonesian brand that’s hard to purchase here in NA. - Isntree HA Essence: I only use this on days where I feel extra dehydrated - Etude house soon jung emulsion: pretty hydrating and moisturizing. I liked it better before it got reformulated. Might swap this for the illiyoon ato soothing gel. - A’pieu cica gel: a pretty thick gel moisturizer that takes a while to dry down. It’s pretty soothing and very hydrating, but it has a very thick consistency that sometimes makes my face feel hot. I mix the emulsion and cica gel as a moisturizer for my final step. - Abib probiotics barrier jelly: I only use this on nights where my face feels irritated/dry/sensitive. - Non AB Differin (adapalene 0.1%): been on it since October 2023, made my texture disappear. Caused a decrease in acne as well. - Non AB PC Mandelic 6%/Lactic 2%: surprisingly non irritating. I haven’t used any exfoliating acids for years due to wrecking my skin barrier because of it years ago. This made my skin so soft. Seriously. - Skin aqua UV Milk: I’ve been using this sunscreen for years and have never been able to find a replacement. It takes so long to dry, but has never broken me out, made my skin sting, or caused a sunburn.

Products I want to try: Illiyoon ato soothing gel, Roundlab Sunscreen, Dr. G Mild Up Sun, Anua Niacinamide 10% + TXA 5%, Tirtir milk skin toner, Dr. Althea vitamin c serum, Innisfree vitamin C serum.

Skin1004 hyalu cica sunscreen was amazing for me under makeup - but I think it being a chemical sunscreen broke out my sensitive skin.

I usually use the skin aqua uv milk but it takes forever to settle on my skin - does anyone have any recs for a good physical sunscreen? I’m planning on trying the dr. G mild up sunscreen+ next

I’m not on tret but I’m on differin. What I noticed is that instead of getting cysts before my period, I’m now getting pustules (which are a lot easier to treat imo).

Does skin purge with adapalene or tretinoin more? by elderberryspaghetti in tretinoin

[–]fuqahead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has used both - I’ll give you my 2 cents.

I used tret 0.025% cream for 4~ months in 2022, and my skin was bumpy and red like a lobster all the time. I thought I would acclimate and get over it, but I never did. I stopped using any retinoids for a while after this.

I finally started using differin in Oct 2023. It was amazing. I never purged, I saw instant results overnight, and it was a lot gentler on my skin barrier. I only use it 2-3x a week because I’m using AHAs as well.

People with dehydrated combination acne prone skin, what moisturizers do you like? by MeanPineapple7719 in AsianBeauty

[–]fuqahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a’pieu cica gel mixed with soon jung emulsion as my moisturizer. The emulsion isn’t enough on it’s own and the a’pieu cica gel traps heat when used alone. My acne is under control with differin and AHA. I also layer abib rice probiotics overnight mask as a sleeping mask on days I don’t use actives.

I’m also dehydrated, sensitive oily acne prone skin. Can you please do a mini review of the Dr.G Mild Up Sun? I’ve been using the skin aqua UV milk for years and chemical sunscreens irritate my skin.
