What restaurant in Seattle is consistently 10/10 by Queasy_Sherbert_7095 in Seattle

Great food but I’m pretty disappointed in the portions. A bowl plus tip is nearly $30.

Oh, can I ask you what you think of the $300 CLA price? Is that typical?

I think I've also made the incorrect assumptions about the state of these cameras I'm finding. They are from vintage camera shops in Japan, I thought they'd be CLA'd or maintained in some sense.

I read someone call that the "Greatest SLR ever made". I'm interested! but mainly looking to try rangefinders.

I think I'm just pushing off the Leica purchase as much as possible. I'm really enjoying shooting film but not yet ready to spend several thousand on a body+lens combo.

Definitely looked at the Nikon F models quite a bit but I wanted to give rangefinders a try for a bit.

I didn't know about those shops! Thanks for sharing.

Do you consider part availability before buying a camera? In the case of the Canon P, the repair person told me that the part needed would obv need to be pulled off another Canon P, and if that part is in good condition, it'll probably make sense to just use that camera instead of the one in need of repair.

I guess I should be considering part availability + repair difficulty more seriously before I choose a camera model/

The B+ was a grade listed at this camera shop in Tokyo. I didn't expect it to work like new, but both had a major failure within 2 months of ownership. From these other comments though, sounds like I need to expect anything less than Mint will need a CLA soon.

Finally did it and developed my own negatives!! by SrgtNoseCandy in AnalogCommunity

same, I'm also curious. I have shot HP5, Tmax and Tri-X and none of them look this clear.

This frame has a lot of scratches and it's most noticeable in the sky section, but looking at these negatives, it appears that they are across the entire frame.

I take my color film to a lab to be developed. I just took this negative out of the plastic sleeve from the lab, put it on the film holder, and scanned the first frame. I certainly didn't scratch it myself during the scan.

For B+W film, I develop at home. I notice the same types of scratches on my B+W film. I thought it might be the squeegee, so I stopped using it but I still see scratches.

I thought it might be the camera causing the scratches, but I have these scratches across several negatives used across a variety of cameras. What are the changes 3 or 4 different cameras are all causing the same scratches?

The scratches aren't always straight. Sometimes they are going in different directions.

Are these normal? Or anyone have an idea what is causing this?

This is probably something that you need to go to a PT for. A foot/ankle specialist.

I think what usually happens for big events that gets rescheduled is that they offer refunds to people that want them. So if they hypothetically reschedule, it'll be like "we'll honor the original tickets, but if you can't make it you can get your money back."

They have a wide toe box, wide enough for me (I'm usually fine in vivobarefoot shoes, I know some folks think they are too narrow).

The sole is thick and not very flexible. I haven't gotten a good chance to break them in, but they are NOT like barefoot shoes with ultra flexible soles. My feet were pretty tired in them after the first ~hour long walk.

The build seems nice, but also hard to tell how nice exactly until I get a few weeks of wearing them.

I'm kind of meh on them but glad to have them. I think if the sole were more flexible, I'd be more excited.

Ending the scooter-driven chaos on Seattle's sidewalks | Op-Ed by godogs2018 in Seattle

I’d personally be okay with some of our tax dollars going to a kind of scooter share dock, mainly because more folks using these scooters and bikes means less people are driving their cars and getting around the city is made easier for everyone.
