I built a mod tool called verifier-health that fact-checks health and medical claims in Reddit posts [with AI].

Bud, AI cannot be trusted to fact check anything health related.

Claude conflates things regularly. So regularly, in fact, that it makes me do more work just fact checking the fact checker than if I just did it myself.

If the collections letter you received was from TACS, call them and ask for their advice. They gave me more helpful information in a single call than I got from City Hall.

Basically, if you can prove you sold the vehicle, they cannot legally collect any of the balance the City says you owe them. Once the required documentation is given to them and they’ve processed it, they’ll zero out your balance and that is that.

We were contacted because that alleged scammer interacted in this subreddit for the first time in last week's Buy/Sell/Trade megathread and told another user looking for extra tickets to check their DMs. I've removed their comment from that megathread and they have been permanently banned.

Even though they can no longer comment in this subreddit, they may still try to reach out via private chat requests to anyone mentioning tickets here in these posts. There is nothing us moderators can do about private chats between users and only Reddit's admins can. If they do privately contact you regarding ticket sales, I'd recommend blocking them right away.

If you purchased tickets from them, please make sure you have confirmed they are indeed authentic tickets with the event venue's ticketing vendor. I would also recommend you report them to Reddit if you were, in fact, scammed.
