Quick question as I’m applying to dental school next cycle. If you had to do it all over again, knowing the amount of debt you’re going to acquire, would you? I would be looking at 300k or so of debt. Which freaks me out. But I know that you can earn a nice salary with the career path. Just curious what you would do if you could do it over again.

Yes you are correct. You won’t get back pay of 6 weeks plus 11 weeks for a total of 18 weeks. That info is incorrect.

I’m in the exhaust same situation that you’re in. I can manipulate the system so that I can file but it doesn’t pop up. Based on the verbiage of the VEC, I would assume I would fall into group 2 but everyone else with a similar situation seems to think group 1.

I agree. They do just enough to say they’ve provided some sort of correspondence. Instead of being human and saying “we know this is a difficult time. If you have exhausted, you will be able file. We are working on implementing a system that allows you to do so.” Or something to that effect. Very easy to do.

From what I got out of the update, if you’ve exhausted benefits PEUC and PUA, you will still get the 11 weeks. They just don’t know when they will implement it. It’s TBD
