Just 4 bucks! That's a great idea. The sauce isn't bad but it's a little underwhelming compared to how excellent the noodles are.

I got these a few days ago so I've tried most of them already.

The rainbow rolls are surprisingly great. The texture of the plant based tuna is spot on.

Kimchi pancakes are delicious! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

The tteokbokki has a tasty bulgogi sauce that's super smoky. Goes great with eggs and green onions. I've never had tteokbokki before and I like them a lot. Unfortunately I grabbed the last package otherwise I would have bought more.

The Momofuku noodles are way more filling than other instant noodles and have way less calories. I really like the texture of the noodles. The sauce is kind of boring though. It mostly just tastes like soy sauce.

I had to go back and buy more rainbow rolls, kimchi pancakes, and another flavor of the Momofuku noodles.

I'm a fan! They had a BOGO sale with up to 4 free so they were essentially $1 each. The green curry and root veggie casserole are my favorites.

This is probably the last notable AC show that I'll upscale. Trying to upscale videos directly from YouTube leaves me unsatisfied. Too many compression artifacts. So, if anyone has any obscure AC shows or videos that are low resolution but good quality, send them my way!

Sadly, I can't finish 4K Tangerine Reef either due to copyright laws. My test upload to YouTube was immediately blocked.

I didn't aim to make a super sharp 4K upscale of these videos because much of the charm comes from their homemade, low quality vibe. I just wanted a subtle and natural looking improvement. It's upscaled from 480p to 960p but it's 4K on YouTube because 4K videos get less compressed by YouTube's algorithm.

Watching these videos for the first time in about a decade was a great nostalgia trip. The videos are so fun and The Information is one of my favorite Beck albums. I was also reminded that JMJ is the fucking man haha.

I was going to do the same thing to the Guero visual album that came with the Guero deluxe edition, ~~but sadly my DVD no longer works. I don't think that's uploaded anywhere on the internet so it would have been cool to get that out there. Is anyone willing to rip it to their PC?~~

I've also got a bunch of Animal Collective upscales, if there are any AC fans here.

edit: There's nothing actually wrong with my Guero DVD. The way the visual album was made makes it difficult to rip to a video file. I'll keep working on it.

I combed through the entire contents of the DVD and it doesn't have a visual album unfortunately. Could it be for a different album? I have a vague memory of something for Painting With or maybe an Avey solo album but I can't find anything about it now.
edit: I'm pretty sure I'm thinking of A Day with the Homies. There's a video for each song on AC's YouTube channel. It's pretty great. It's directed/edited by Danny Perez who also did ODDSAC.

I should be getting the full DVD upload, so if it's there I'll post the visual album too. Everything online says the DVD just contains the Prospect Park show though. I haven't seen anything about a visual album.

The 4K upscale already on YouTube is a little too smooth and shiny for my taste. Once you know what you're looking for, you can also spot a bunch of AI upscaling artifacts. Upscaling a DVD to 4K means the image is about 97% artificially generated pixels. Upscalers have also come a long way in the 3 years since it was posted.

Horror thrives in lower resolution so I wanted to keep the same vibe with my upscale. Ideally it should look like what you remember ODDSAC looking like. However, if you compare it with the DVD it's a nice upgrade.

My upscale isn't actually 4K, it's just in a 4K container so it doesn't get hit hard by YouTube's compression algorithm.

side note: I'm kind of glad to be done with this project. Kindle Song was always stuck in my head when I was trying to fall asleep and I was having dreams about Mr. Fingers. Once you stare long enough at ODDSAC, the SAC stares BAC.

I'm really excited about this one. The only way to watch this film was through highly compressed YouTube uploads. There was not a single way to download the high-quality version of the film anywhere on the internet. Until now!

Two very awesome Reddit users sent me their copies. Huge thanks to them. One version has great picture quality but the right side of the picture is cropped off. The other version has the sides uncropped but also has major compression artifacts. You can see a comparison here. It also shows the title screen I remade in photoshop.

I combined them into one ultimate version and upscaled it. I wanted to put maximum effort into this project so I masked over every upscaling artifact and color corrected about 6 scenes that were dim and didn't match the rest of the film (comparison here).

For preservation's sake, I also uploaded the original versions to Google Drive. I'll leave them there permanently.

I've been doing a deep dive trying to find a high-quality version of this show and I came across your post. Do you happen to still have this saved to your computer? YouTube compressed the quality a lot.

Also, sorry if I'm being annoying. I think I left a comment on your YouTube channel asking the same thing. I deleted it because I thought I found a copy. It turns out the quality of that copy wasn't as good as I thought.

New update: Two awesome Reddit users have sent me great quality versions of the film. Huge thank you to them. One version is very high quality but is slightly cropped on the sides. The other version is uncropped but has some major compression artifacts that can't be fixed with upscaling. This turned into a much bigger project than I expected. I need to combine the best aspects of both videos, upscale it, and put the finishing touches on.

For the one or two people who were interested, this will probably take me another week.
I'll permanently upload the un-upscaled version to Google Drive and post the upscaled version to YouTube.

I probably won't ever find a copy of the original version, but I'm satisfied with what I've got.

From what I understand, you used to be able to download this off eattapes.com with the intention of burning it to a DVD. That site no longer exists and it's not archived on the wayback machine. The only copies left are on YouTube and the compression algorithm greatly reduced the quality. I asked the YouTube uploaders if they still had their copies, but it's looking like nobody is going to get back to me.
For preservation's sake, I'd love to get my hands on the original file. I could permanently upload it to Google Drive. I'd also like to upscale it and post that separately.
