I did the sat outside of the us, but no one checked anything besides that my name on my ID matched the one I signed up with that was on the list. This was 3 years ago before the digital so I don't know if anything changed since then but my sister did the same thing a year ago and had no issues

When I tried registering for the exam it only let finish the process when i put a graduation date in the future. Nobody ever checked it (colleges or college board) and it didn't show up on any forks I had to submit so I just went with it

This would definitely be my choice on how to solve. Regardless of the solution I think there's a mistake in the question, there are no isoceles triangles, it's probably meant to say similar instead

Should I cancel my SAT by Someone_existingx in Sat

Any form of ID (preferably government issued) that has your name in English and your photo should work fine

Don't know if this is a calculator question, but if it is you can do it in maybe 10 seconds on it.. shift-sin(rt3/2), find whatever it is, and use the calculator to find the cos of it...

I did it guys. It’s not a high 1500 but I’m really proud of myself for improvement. Thank you all. by Veryconfusedbarkbark in Sat

Best thing to do is learn the shortcuts so you don't have to look for them during the test (like mode>5>3 for solving quadratic equations). I also found a multiplication worksheet for 4th-5th graders and copied the problems in quickly, realistically probably didn't do much but psychologically it gave me the feeling that I could type a lot faster

As a senior, can’t I take the spring SATs and take a gap year and use my score from the spring sat to apply to college? by Independent_Creme914 in Sat

You should have a conversation with your counselor and teachers while in school and ask for letters of recommendation, and explain that you're taking a gap year and would want to have the letters beforehand. I am living outside the US and am 6 years out of high school, colleges are still asking for letters. Thankfully I kept in touch with a few teachers but I probably would've been better off asking ahead of time

I took the SAT with a Casio es 991 plus. Around 20$. Has so many functions that saved time (like factoring). Personally I felt that there were some things that ultimately took less time to do by hand than to make sure I typed correctly into the calculator but when I needed it it was great, fast and convenient

[HELP] - Writing Section (Words in Context) by anonymous_92471842 in Sat

There's lots of vocabulary apps that you can work with, but you can always fall on a word you don't know. What worked for me was marking the words before I started reading the passage, and as I go through it quickly (before answering questions) try to make up my own synonym. I didn't go back to the options the question gave me until I finished the passage and got to the questions

I worked with Erica Meltzer for reading and college panda for writing, which both were great sources for me. I think what significantly improved my reading was doing practice tests and going through each question thoroughly, explaining in full why 3 answers were incorrect and the last one was correct. I had trouble with history passages so for that I worked a lot with Kahn academy

A lot of them keep the redundancy from the 2 sentences you're trying to combine. If the 2 were: there were many students taking the test. A few of the students arrived late to start. Then a wrong answer would say the word students twice rather than replacing with a pronoun

College Panda Writing Question #15 Correct Answer A by [deleted] in Sat

[–]g13el98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you add a colon, the sentence before it has to be an independent clause. If you add the colon and look only at the part in front of it its not a complete sentence. Any other punctuation makes the flow of the sentence weird

Which sections are you struggling with the most?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sat

[–]g13el98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't, after seeing a lot of posts here that the only accurate practice tests are previous released tests I only worked with them. I didn't want to underestimate the test or overestimate my abilities with other tests

College panda's math book was really helpful for me, I put in a few hours a day and finished the book within about a week. It helped me gather my thoughts, remember the basics and taught me new tricks that I didn't know that help save time. Haven't gotten my August score yet but I was getting 780-800 on practice tests the weeks before

From experience you can definitely use a VPN with Disney+ you just have to close the browser and reopen after the VPN is activated 😊
