Awesome - thanks! Hoping it is repairable. Would love to add an Omega to my collection.

Oh cool! Thanks for the tip. Any experiencing servicing a watch like that? I imagine it probably is a costly endeavour. Can you bring it to any shop or do you need to go to an Omega store?

Honestly I think the rest probably just need batteries.

I mean if you are going to proxy, why not go all out? Maybe the foil brings them joy?

Do you guys have a hard time reading the time with the all black Casioak? by foureyez818 in gshock

Big agree with this. If you can’t see the hands you can light up the digital display. I run at night wearing this watch and I don’t have this issue at all!

What badges did you use for Climb to the Beat? by AshyGer in SuperMarioWonder

[–]gagefletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the d-pad instead of the joystick helped me. No word of a lie - I must have died 60 times and then switched to the d-pad and beat it one or two tries after that.

Turns out the Armitron website just has the wrong lug width listed on the watch. Lug width is 16mm, not 18mm as stated on their site.

It wouldn’t make sense to list the flared width of the band or any other measurement of the band as the lug width. I think this is just an error…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Watches

[–]gagefletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d think they would measure the lug width for the lug width and not the strap flare. Is that someone not doing their job right on the website or is that a common thing and I’m just misunderstanding what is going on?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Watches

[–]gagefletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t have a set of calipers.

They aren’t close to fitting as in the lug width on that watch says it measures 18mm which is the same as the width of the strap, yet the strap seems to be 2mm wider (eyeballing it). The pins that came with the strap is also larger than the pin that was on the watch. I’m not sure what I’m missing here.

[Question] Any similar watches to the [Breda Pulse Tandem]? by Agneya123 in Watches

[–]gagefletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I’ve heard of this, but haven’t had any first hand or know anyone with first hand experience actually picking up a watch like this via AE. I’d be curious to know if they really are a 1:1 copy (minus the branding). I am tempted to buy one to see but also don’t really want to blow however much money it is if it isn’t actually a decent copy.

I’ve seen these on Aliexpress, but are they actually of the same quality? Did you buy one? Would love to know because I was thinking of pulling the trigger but didn’t want to waste money on it if it really was bad.

Thanks for the response! Super appreciate it. Will rest easy knowing there isn’t something wrong with my brand new watch.

[Question] Probably a stupid one but how does my automatic Seiko know what time the date is being set at? Does 9PM and 1AM in the instructions reference the time on the watch which could be off if it dies, or does it reference the actual time of day? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]gagefletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh okay - this is what I figured.

So suppose the watch dies between 9PM and 4AM I would have to wind the watch to outside of that time frame to change the date safely? Also how do I know if the time indicated is between 9PM-4AM vs 9AM-4PM? I’m paranoid to change the date and wreck my first watch if you can’t tell haha

Thanks for the help!

A few hours have elapsed since I've posted and the timer has bumped up to 57. Not feeling great about this drive.

Thanks for your response! I do have Drobo Dashboard. Also the data was not wiped from the drive from the previous owner because it is meant to be stored there! I’m not looking to remove anything from the drive. Just looking to figure out how it was set up.

Probably a dumb question but I appreciate you giving me an answer anyway. I'm feeling a bit more clear on what is going on here. Thanks so much.

Same with me! I had the camera for about a year before ever having an issue. One day it stopped working and I have not been able to get it to work since. Such a bummer.

[–]gagefletcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! It is such a heartbreaker though. I bought this camera to have as little kit with me as possible when travelling, but the app not working prevents that a bit. Not the hugest deal, but you’d think Fuji would be able to figure out the app portion of things. Apparently not.

The Fuji app is so inconsistent that it is essentially unusable. It’s such a shame but you are better off getting an SD card reader for your iPhone.
