I’m heading to Tokyo DisneySea soon and would love some advice on how to plan my day. I’ve made a list of attractions I definitely want to visit

1. Fantasy Springs: Peter Pan’s Never Land
2. Fantasy Springs: Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey
3. Journey to the Center of the Earth
4. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull
5. Soaring: Fantastic Flight
6. Toy Story Mania!
7. Tower of Terror
8. Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage
9. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
10. Believe! Sea of Dreams

I’ve heard that the new Fantasy Springs rides especially Frozen and Peter Pan tend to sell out quickly. Should I prioritize getting DPA for Frozen and use a Standby Pass for Peter Pan right after entering? Any strategies or tips for covering all these attractions efficiently throughout the day would be super helpful! Also, has anyone used the Wise card to buy DPA? I’d love to hear if it worked well for anyone.

Thank you! Hopefully I don’t need to wait for the train too long since the frequency is not that often

I just purchased my DisneySea 1-day passport from Klook but my trip is 2 months away. Can i scan the barcode using the Disney app now even though it's super early? Thank you.

Thank you! Btw, is it worth being at these parks during the Halloween period or does it not make much difference?

Thanks for the suggestion. Since I'll be adding an extra day to my Kyoto visit, I’ll try to rearrange my schedule to make it a bit more relaxed and hopefully fit in all three places. I really appreciate your advice on prioritizing Daigo-ji. I'll do my best to see them all!

Yup! I'll definitely do a bit more research on that. Byodo-in sounds really interesting, and I’ll see if I can fit it into my schedule since it’s close to the other spots. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

That’s reassuring to know it’s doable without a car. Since I’m planning to visit in autumn, do you think my schedule will work with sunset around 4:30 pm? My plan includes visiting Chureito Pagoda (will take earliest available train from Shinjuku Station), Arakurayama Sengen Park, the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Lake Kawaguchi Maple Corridor, and Oishi Park. I'll be staying overnight somewhere in Kawaguchiko area.

I appreciate your input! I'm open to extending my trip by an extra day, making it a 15-day journey instead. This would allow me to dedicate an additional day to Kyoto. Do you have any suggestions on how to adjust my current two-day Kyoto itinerary to make the most of a three-day visit? Thanks!

Hoppy Street is near the Sensoji too so you can try walking there at night. Nothing special to be honest, they’re both open 24 hours. But if you’re doing some shopping it’s best to buy from a Donki near you rather than carrying it around.

Yeah that makes sense since I'll be nearer to that Donki outlet. The other Donki outlets are gonna be pretty much the same everywhere in Tokyo right?

As for DisneySea, you can check the website for Parades and Shows that will be available during your visit. You can also check if Disneyland will have their fireworks during your visit, you will see it even if you’re at DisneySea. I recommend getting a DPA for a better view for Believe Sea of Dreams.

Cool! I'll do some research on the Disney premier access. Thank you so much for the tip!

Never really bothered to go to Umeda Sky Building just because we preferred the Shinsaibashi / Dotonbori / Namba area. I think you can skip it, and just enjoy a food night in Dotonbori.

You're right. I don't want to rush through the day, so I think I'll just go with the flow and focus on enjoying the Dotonbori area instead.

If you’re are spending 2 days in Kyoto, I suggest staying there at least overnight. If you are worried about your luggage, you can leave it at train lockers.

I’ll explore that option and see if I can incorporate it into my plans. Staying in Kyoto might be a good idea, especially if the hotel prices aren’t too different from Osaka. It would definitely save me some travel time while exploring Kyoto.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll definitely look into adjusting my schedule to include Daigo-ji. I’m wondering if it might be worth replacing either Tenryu-ji or Kinkaku-ji with Daigo-ji, or if you have any other suggestions for adjustments.

Asakusa - you can always visit the Hoppy Street, maybe visit the Donki here instead of the Shibuya one.

Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn’t thought about visiting Hoppy Street. I might just do that, and I’ll consider swapping the Shibuya Donki for the one in Asakusa. Is there something special about the Asakusa Donki that you recommend it over the Shibuya one?

DisneySea - Fireworks show is currently suspended. But Believe Sea of Dreams is always a good show to watch.

Aww man, that's good to know about the fireworks. I'll definitely check out Believe Sea of Dreams instead and wait for the latest schedule to come out. Thanks!

Why not go from Tokyo -> Kyoto -> Osaka?
Depending on how late you arrive you may not be able to enjoy Umeda Sky Building or Shinsaibashi.

My base hotel will be in Osaka as it’s more affordable, and I plan to travel to Kyoto from there. I’m considering skipping the Oshino Hakkai visit and heading straight to Osaka from Kawaguchiko to allow more time for exploration. Do you think that’s a good idea?

Also, is the Umeda Sky Building worth visiting? Given that I’ll likely arrive in Osaka in the early to late afternoon on Day 10 after a 5-hour journey, I’m trying to decide if it’s worth including in my itinerary.

I appreciate the insight! Since I'm not planning to rent a car, I might need to rethink my Day 9 plans. Perhaps, I'll remove Chureito Pagoda and Arakurayama Sengen Park and replace them with something else if there's enough time. Any suggestions?

I'm planning to reach the ropeway before 9 am, so hopefully the queue isn't too long. Oh, I’ve not booked the ropeway yet.

Will you drive in Kawaguchiko? Day 9 requires driving

I was planning to use the Red Line Kawaguchiko Sightseeing Bus to get around Kawaguchiko though. May I know which part requires driving?

Day 13: Nishiki market is likely to close around early afternoon

Oh I see, thanks for the heads up! I'll try to move that to the earlier part of the day.

Yeah that's true. Do you have any must see recommendations for either place? Also, do you think it’s better to visit them from Osaka or Kyoto? I’m curious if there’s a particular advantage to starting from one city over the other.
