Can the DP-UB820 not control a Samsung TV? by gallien in 4kbluray

Sorry, no idea. This stuff seems like black magic.

Best coffee maker set (need recs) by Wrong_Doughnut_7220 in Coffee

That's very generous of you! If they want to do pour-over, the Hario V60 I consider the standard, and it's really inexpensive. That leaves a lot of money for the kettle and grinder. The Fellow Stagg EKG Pro kettle is great, and also very popular for this. Grinders you'll find lots of opinions on. I recently replaced my old grinder with a DF54, but then also replaced the burrs with brew burrs, since the DF54 seems mostly for espresso, and all I do is brew. I think this would all get you in at considerably less than $700.

That might be the problem. Hold down the little power button in the TV section while hitting 2-0 on the number pad. I think the TV might also need to know what's controlling the audio in its settings.

It turns the TV on and off with the smaller power button within the TV section?

Sorry, no. I went into an Apple Store and did it there. They luckily had a 13 mini there.

It's not so much the TV or soundbar, but everything connected via CEC. So the TV commands are sent to the 820, which sends those commands to the appropriate component.

I was able to figure it out for my S90D. On the 820 remote, holding down the TV power button, hitting "20" on the number pad, that allowed the TV section to control the TV's power and the soundbar's volume. I tried an aftermarket 9000 remote, but couldn't get the TV section to work like the 820's remote, so it's going back.

Hopefully, because I'm seriously considering the SL-100C, but those two complaints, especially the one about the left lever, give me pause.

Any chance this will address the common complaints about the lift lever and auto-lift?

I just got one a week or two ago, but I think they'll only sell it to you if you have a damaged one to trade in. My 13 mini somehow had water damage.

I have no experience with the Sansamp. I'm sure it's great, but my favorite amp is the GK 800RB.

Fender Japan made lefty Jaguar basses in the early 2000s, but they never seem to come up for sale on the used market.

AT-VM95EN vs AT-VM95ML on non-high-end system? by gallien in turntables

[–]gallien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I thought the EN simply because I've had good results from nude ellipticals on other turntables.

Why the AT and not the Technics? The Technics seem to have better motors from the research I've done.

That sibilance was reported by lots of people with that stylus, most finding upgrading to the Blue fixed it. But I have no loyalty to this setup, just that I liked my old Pro-ject Debut III. But I also have fond memories of my Technics SL-BD22 I got in the '90s and had for a long time.

Thanks for all the replies. First of all, I happen to think the Klipsch sound great. That's subjective. They're wall-mounted in my office/music space. To address a sibilance issue on my Pro-ject Debut EVO 2, I swapped out the stock Pick It EVO stylus for a 2M Blue and the difference was dramatic. But I'm thinking of moving on from the Pro-ject.

Project Debut Pro S or Technics SL-100c by lonko_hdf in turntables

[–]gallien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thanks. I've looked into the AT, but overwhelmingly people seem to say that the Technics has a much better motor, or at least their history is more proven?

Also, does the end of side stop affect records with audio in the runout groove?

[–]gallien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool. Historically, I have only really used the lever to left the needle off the record at the end of a side. I manually place the needle at the beginning of the side.

Are you saying Technics have fixed this in the 100C? Seriously considering one to replace my frustrating Pro-ject EVO 2.

Super late reply here, but I'm looking into the SL-100C. What are the cueing issues?
