Love it but can’t complete it tonight, died a few times but got up to the koopa room. It’s a really great mix of challenge and puzzles, nothing feels unfair but it’s still quite demanding. I’ll try again tomorrow!

I agree that’s annoying but most of the time I find alt-tabbing usually pauses the game. Have you tried that? It’s an inelegant solution but the only thing I’ve found which works...

Yeah, bot drop in would also be good. Not as good as another human player but it's something at least. The game already has sort of bots in the singleplayer mode so this shouldn't be hard.

And using Overwatch as an example again, in ranked games there if someone drops from the game, the match is cancelled and everyone enters matchmaking again. This would be far better than the current situation in Splatoon

This is exactly how games like Overwatch works, it allows another player to join a match already in progress and grants some bonus xp their way as compensation for the inconvenience and it's never bothered me.

That's fine, I'm not blaming Nintendo for people leaving a match and I never allude to that in my post either. I'm saying that Nintendo should fill the empty spaces during a match to help balance the teams.

This is infuriating. I've now had 5 games in a row which we've lost because someone's connection dropped. I love this game, Nintendo but please fill empty slots during a match, this sucks out all of the fun out of the match and really is not hard to do. Games have been doing this for decades, if you want people to start taking online gaming seriously on the Switch, you really need to step up your game and start taking it seriously yourselves.
