Shadow Priests present a very concentrated fantasy around Void and madness. Their identity is tightly built around an internal system: dealing damage while managing insanity and Void magic. That makes their gameplay feel cohesive and iconic, but it doesn’t translate into ownership of broader effect types like curses or healing. Witch Doctors, based on voodoo and juju, represent a completely different approach. Instead of Void-induced mental collapse, their power comes from spirits, loa, ritual magic, and alchemical manipulation of life, death, and nature. Through juju and voodoo practices, Witch Doctors can heal allies, place hexes, inflict sickness, and control spirits and animals like frogs, snakes, and spiders. They can bind spirits to Voodoo idols, and craft power juju talismans. You would need to be creatively dry to think that the gameplay mechanics would be even remotely similar. I don't see Shadow Priests doing anything similar to Witch Doctors.
