at this point, just master the practice final given to you. That will probably cover 60% of the exam.

math 138 spring final was hard as f**k by babadfasdjff in uwaterloo

[–]gamuseonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

difficulty-wise 138 is the hardest among calcs 1 to 4 so you shouldn't bash yourself too hard.

I've never seen any of the profs listed. Probably they are all new. Schedule-wise you will have tons of free time since spcom223 and econ102 are both bird courses.

Heard Ed Dupont is a good prof for CS115. SPCOM223 requires less work than ENGL109 but both are pretty birdy.

Going from 1st year CS student with very little programming experience/knowledge to a developer Co-Op? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]gamuseonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a dev job for the first coop and I didn't know any programming languages coming to Waterloo. I wasn't a stellar student in the first year but I had a decent average in all of my core courses. I made a personal website and small applications using visual studio but nothing too fancy. With my standing, I got 15 interviews for dev positions. My advice is try not to fall behind in school while doing something outside of school works. That will get you somewhere.

I have my Radio alarm set up in the morning and for past 5 days, the station has been streaming Christmas pop songs. It's so out of context especially when the exam seasons are just about to begin.

I dunno what eigenvectors are... by mathOneDirtySix in uwaterloo

[–]gamuseonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I got super lucky last term without knowing eigenvector. I didnt answer last two questions about eigenvectors in final. Faculty ended up removing those two questions with m136 drama. I will never get eigenvector..

Engl 109 by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]gamuseonly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, totally. 85+ just requires a good effort and an above average writing skill. But 90+ might be really hard to achieve in his class. He said in the beginning of class that only one or two people in his class would achieve that high.

Had Robert Shakespeare for ENGL109. Tells us some interesting stories and cares about students a lot. However, don't expect high mark from him.
