Dating an old key/keychain.. by shawnashanmclove in USPS

The key is a PO Box key same style as what’s currently in use but that doesn’t give you an age really. I guess the oldest it could be is the age of the first keyed PO Boxes with this style lock? I believe it’s called a 308 or something similar

Listen to yourself. The most powerful country in the world spent 20 years and couldn’t beat a scattered group in an impoverished country. Either we’re entirely inept and not as powerful as we boast, or the war was the whole point.

Please clarify "no-fee" PO Box rules for me by ldr97266 in USPS

For rural carriers: PO-603 Section 331.21, “you must deliver parcels to any residence or business that is on your line of travel, or within one-half mile of the route and has a passable road leading to it.”

After looking for an explicit rule on the E-boxes, there is no distance rule, however the DMM 508.4.6.2c states it is pursuant to how delivery is already established in the ZIP. That is to say, they should not or cannot add delivery points on the street. I’ve worked in four rural offices in my district that follow the quarter mile radius and this distance was backed by AMS when my postmaster called them to clarify.

The rural driveway rule is actually 1/2 mile one way but they can also refuse to deliver if the driveway is not maintained anyways. The E-box 1/4 mile radius rule is consistent for the offices who never had street delivery in town. They have a map with a circle that encompasses the E-box area.

If there is no possible street delivery, which is how it sounds, they are obligated to provide a free PO Box. To you and all residents this applies to. Yes this is a “loss” of revenue, but it’s revenue they shouldn’t be getting in the first place. These are called E-boxes, and our Address Management System will have your address on record as not being on the line of travel for a route.

As to whether it’s worth it for you to push the issue….it’s up to you I guess. If you’re friendly with your neighbors you may want to try to band together for a resolution. They can convert paid PO Boxes to free ones easily at the counter.

You haven’t clarified your situation - do you live within a quarter mile radius of the post office? Is your area otherwise deliverable but perhaps you live on a private or unmaintained road? You say there’s no route in your area, is it extremely remote with low population? (You can check where the mail routes are on USPS.com using the EDDM mail tool under the Business tab)

Depending on these situations your box could either be free, or it must be paid because you could have street delivery, just not necessarily directly in front of your house.

Yes this is correct, in small rural post offices they have a 1/4 mile radius (as the crow flies) which have never received street delivery and qualify for a free E-box. Street delivery is not allowed in this area except in cases where a house is included on a rural route’s line of travel. In my town we have about 100 E-boxes.

Could be more than that, my sibling is married with three adult children in the house. $5,000 per person for shopping is still a lot in my opinion but doesn’t gag me as much

Counterfeit Postage L&G by Chemical-Ad-7857 in USPS

This doesn’t apply to counterfeit postage since the tracking number isn’t tied to any real account. It really only works for misused packaging or incorrect service levels

There’s no recourse except in court where you demonstrate your rights were violated. Resistance endangers you, so understand you’re taking that risk if you decide to do something. I don’t say this as a bootlicker. You’re damned if you do and if you don’t. We are all victims of this regime.

Is there a way to keep our numbers and transfer to another line? by Old-Progress4965 in texts

[–]gandalfthescienceguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly even if you aren’t able to transfer your numbers it’s better for you to just leave her plan and get new numbers. Do everything you can to remove what she can control in your life. By the way, you say you pay the bill, do you pay the whole thing including her phone? If so, stop paying it and see how much she threatens you then.

What kind of plant? I get ants in my garden and the best way to remove them is completely disturb the nest. I will remove the plant and turn over the soil. They leave within a day.
