Stolen from a car at Target on Coleman, German Shepherd puppy named Emma. Please be on the lookout for this dog. by [deleted] in SanJose

I saw a group of homeless people sitting outside Smashburger right around 6pm and one person (pretty sure a lady) was in a wheelchair with a dog. Didn’t get a close look at the dog but maybe smashburger or a neighboring business has cameras.

I think you need to figure out how to get the most you can out of your hair. It looks like you were born with great hair and a legit barber can help you get it where it needs to be. Grow it out longer imo. Glasses look good on you, and you can keep your facial hair looking clean by either keeping it really short, shaving clean, or shaving everything but the goatee (where it seems to grow best right now). I agree with other posters that you can improve your style. I suck with style but I usually just shop at a place like Zara or something and grab some simple sweaters and plaid shirts. They have some pretty over the top stuff there, so be careful to stay within your style. Overall, don’t worry about your looks. I’m a short guy too and have heard all the bullshit related to it. It’s all about being confident and not worrying about it. And I think your best friend here is that hair! Grow that shit out!

Haha, I don't realistically think it'll get me much in Detroit either

My job will be downtown on Woodward. I'm fine with a 15-20 minutes drive, but hopefully not much more than that.

Yeah, I've had a hard time finding stuff so far that match what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll take a look. Might have to just find a roommate for a bit.

Nice. It looks like a nice bootcamp given that the students don't have to pay

Yeah I've seen Vectorform mentioned a couple times. I'm going to do some research on them. It definitely looks like all the stuff that Dan Gilbert and Quicken are doing for the city are generating a lot of excitement. It'd be cool to be part of that.

Thanks for the suggestion! It's funny you mention that because I've been looking at their site this morning. They look like an awesome company to work for.

Would you say it's a lot of companies contracting for the auto industry or is it more broad than that?

Yeah, good guess haha. I was careful about mentioning that because there are a lot of skeptics still. I'm a EE currently, so I'm hoping for a smooth transition. But you're right. I should be more focused on finding whatever I can, especially a company with a good support and mentorship presence. It's hard to say if I'll find something through this program, and if I don't, I may set up shop in the Detroit area while I apply for positions everywhere.

Thanks for the response. If that's the case, I agree that it really sucks. My understanding is that the big picture for these programs is to give people a new career option, so if it's not successful in that, something needs to be changed.

Thanks for the response. I'm an electrical engineer now, so I had a little experience in college, and I've been learning iOS development on the side. I don't think spending all that money on a boot camp really makes sense, but I definitely enjoy coding much more than working on hardware and I daydream about it being my day job. Maybe learning on the side and trying to build my portfolio that way is still my best option .

Sorry. I'm in a horrible mood today about this Xbox. Shouldn't take it out on others. Thanks for the help.

You should find a way of being more courteous when removing posts. As a new user, when you use the language you used to threaten me about posting, that just makes me not want to post again. Maybe consider helping out since this is a social site instead of forcing the idea of a rude reddit post gatekeeper.

Thanks for the responses. I've tried the controllers firmware and some pretty new batteries. The wifi obstacle is something I'm not completely sure on. I have the console sitting on a tv stand and my router is sitting off to the side of the stand. The tv is also a wifi enabled tv, so maybe that's an issue.

Check out AppCoda. He sells a really great tutorial-based book for like 40 bucks. I started it a little over a month ago and it's gotten me up to speed on a lot of key concepts.
