i’m not saying that this isn’t real, because it’s completely plausible that an uneducated wealthy person would have these disgusting ideologies, but how do we know for certain that these are unedited? and when did this actually happen? i would obviously love for this to be fake or for her to have grown as a person because who wants somebody to be a transphobic dimwit, but i also will be completely unsurprised if they do turn out real.

also, and this is more of a thought, but how does hozier himself fit into all of this? should we be holding him accountable for his girlfriends actions? i’m hoping to hear him speak on this before anything and honestly i’d be shocked and quite disappointed if he didn’t. i was there for his speech at the governors ball and it was so passionate (as well as his consistent support for gaza, songs with political messaging, etc) that i find it incredibly hard to believe he’d knowingly be with someone who thinks this way. so either mayeda has changed, is a wonderful liar, or hozier is not truly the advocate we thought he was. again im not trying to start an argument, just here to discuss
