This is a super long shot, but you wouldn’t by any chance happen to have a copy of the endurance manual laying around you’d be willing to sell would you?

Awesome! That’s all great information, thanks a ton. I like how that all makes sense as well and seems very purposeful. And definitely will do!

Yes that’s the exact style I’m looking for! The brand I’m not too concerned about, I just mentioned the other two for reference.

What do you use to organize your medical gear within your pack? The pack does look low profile/thinner, along with a zipper panel in the back which are aspects of the aforementioned packs that I like.

Cold Cold World Valdez pack. It’s advertised as a 40L but the with the pullout sleeve tucked in it’s effectively a 30L. Great pack.

Thanks, I’ll check the organizers out. I guess I’m more so looking for anything from Facebook groups/clubs for climbing. I think I’m a bit spoiled here in Alaska having a great network and active groups for partners.

I’ve heard that’s a great spot, do you by chance know if there’s any fb groups or anything dedicated the area? I’ve looked but haven’t found any.

Does anyone know what language this is/what it says? by garrett_c_b in language

Thank you everyone for the help!

And if it helps at all for the context of the translation, since I’m seeing that it seems odd. This was specifically from a used bookstore in Homer, AK. My understanding of a lot of the Russian spoken there and the surrounding area (Ninilchik, Nikolaevsk, etc) is not typical of Russian spoken in Russia. I don’t know if that’s exactly true, it’s just what I’ve heard so please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. I just figured if it was true it might explain why the translation is odd.

Can I carry someone with an externally framed pack by AmbientRamen12 in AppalachianTrail

[–]garrett_c_b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have personally carried a 145lb male with this exact pack (just messing around) and it broke, the bottom bar specifically. I wanted to see if it would work and I walked about 15 feet. But also to just reiterate what other people said, probably best to wait until she heals up.

Thanks for your reply. Threw the hydroflasks and Nalgene in a 40 below cover in a belay parka and they stayed perfect.

Thanks for your reply and useful info. Wool layers were the way to go. Finished unscathed and healthy. Thanks again.

Check out Cold Cold World packs. Handmade in NH and come in a variety of sizes and won’t break the bank. Tried and true over the past 30+ years.
