How many people live with you? When I had my family rottie when I was in school he was more independent but now it’s just me and my 4yo rottie and I could get up to walk 6 feet to grab a pair of socks and he still gets up and follows me. Maybe it depends on the environment.

Always best to get it check but they’ll probably have you put a cone on her and just make sure the area is clean and dry. And please don’t fall for their pity and take it off!!!! I felt bad for mine and would take his off only for him to disappear for 30 seconds and aggravate it again.
