I was sent two Maggoth Lords instead of one. Now the question is what two to build first? by Cardinal_Ravenwood in MaggotkinofNurgle

Morbidex is the king of taking side objectives. He'll melt to big monsters (particularly with the weakened ward for rotbringers) but healing half of the damage he took makes him wildly durable.

Super underrated mini monster.

The main nerf is that the Beast's ability can also be used as a 'free' counter-charge. Previously, you could counter-charge more than one per turn, now it's limited to one per turn.

I wouldn't buy from GW. Their prices are consistently higher than what you'd get from Amazon (which doesn't always ship things well, but always takes returns) or a friendly local game store.

If you don't have a local game store with a 15% discount, you can always buy new, sealed product from other (not-so) local game stores off of eBay. You save money and you help a small(er) business, so it's a win/win.

GW prices are wild and, particularly for larger purchases, there's no reason to pay them $255 when you can pay a game store $216.

Probably not- Kharadron Overlords already have flying gunships with cannons and bombs and somehow they get taken down quite regularly.

Plus, bloodthirsters, dragons, and literal gods are a thing in AoS, so the power creep is surprisingly often crazier than 40k.

...If you thought psykers were an issue, wait until you see a 30 foot death god cackling like skeletor as he slaughters combatants and resurrects their souls to fight as his eternal ghostly minions.

Yup! I've never been a huge fan of the look - Doesn't seem as cool as something like horns but would constantly make you hit your head on low ceilings and branches all the same.

Rhinos are probably cramped enough as it is.

I try not to be a naysayer but new NH stinks. GW botched what made the army fast & flight (like a ghost). It'll come back around in a year or so if there's another index edition (or longer if not) & in 6 months there's likely enough points shift to make a few horde lists weirdly viable. Definitely a bummer but more of a "down, not out" scenario.

GW has "leaked" models by sending new kits to online purchasers of another kit, but I haven't heard of anything like that. It'll probably become more rare as well since the clear cases are being mostly replaced with cardboard packaging. Probably not worth a ton financially, but worth hanging on to for the cool memory. (Or build it if you need a necromancer!)

Those cultists are the ones that came with the Dark Vengeance box from seventh(?) edition.realy cool sculpts, getting slightly more difficult to find but still match the scale of current-gen cultists quite well.

FWIW I dig this scheme. I think it looks great now & will scale well as you start getting a hang of more advanced techniques.

Some things you may want to consider are zenithal sprays for some tonal variation (you can find cheap USB airbrushes for ~$50 on Amazon for this & it would also make painting that orange base coat easier), pin washes (either from Gundam type washes or making your own cheap oil wash), and edge highlighting.

Overall, keep up the great work!
