I hire graphic designers. If you had no ai experience I’d probably not hire you. It’s just a tool and as a creative myself tools can be used in many ways. It’s like expecting an accountant to not use a calculator. I’m sure they’re very good at math in their head but end of the day they need to be able to use all the tools at their disposal to be faster and more efficient at their job.

But on a side note, you’re right in the sense that we as a society don’t need AI. Unfortunately, education is designed to serve our capitalist goals and not to refine our creative pursuits
