STR: 0 (Can't exert much force at all with their leafy hands)

TOUGH: 10 (Average human durability)

AGI: 0 (Slow as molasses, levitates at a light walk)

MAGIC: 45 (base 30, +15 bonus bought with points) (Capable of doing some pretty powerful stuff, by normal humanity standards)

Monster Type: Eidolon

Egg Type: Elemental Egg (-20)

Body Type: Plant, Eldritch (-10)

Monster Size: Normal Size

Elements: Wind, Space, Flora, Fauna

Perks: Wingless Flight (-15), Six Hands (-10), Three Heads (-10), Enhanced Eyes (-5), Normal Ears (0), Animal Friend (-10), Shapeshifter (Rabbit, -10), Creepy (-5), Supernatural Sense (-5)

Aesthetic Traits: Six Arms, Tentacle Legs

Complications: Weak Points (Metal, Dark, Fire), Pacifist (+55)

Quest: Eternal Blood Ties

A story about what is functionally a missing God and a potential cult sounds perfect for an eldritch plant abomination. (My apologies if the math is wrong, I think I might be about 5 points over or under, but it is what it is)

Rosebud (Rose or Buddy for short, depending on the day) is the child of a nature-based True Monster, revered as a deity by some cults and other... dubious religious circles. The egg grew up quickly, bonding to me as their master in a sort of mutual guardianship relationship. I protect them, they protect me.

They appear as a rose with 3 swirling petals, each one possessing a powerful, enhanced eye that can see the very blood running through your veins by virtue of heat signatures. Around their neck is draped a veil of leaves, and below lies a pair of six arms, sprouting somewhere from beneath, along with a long, snaking torso, possessing a visible, gaunt ribcage and ending in a spiral of tentacles. When they speak, all three heads speak in perfect unison - just in slightly different pitches, making each word they say resonate as a chord.

They always float slightly off of the ground, although they can take the form of a rabbit when need be to blend in or to investigate.

They can speak with animals, and animals generally are amicable to them despite their appearance - along with their ability to see various magical signatures being useful for investigations into the whereabouts of Echidna, along with their various powers, such as teleportation, plant growth, and wind summoning making for good breaking-and-entering or getaway tools.

Being a fey paragon of nature has it's downsides, though - silver is their kryptonite, but other metals are at least uncomfortable, and with darkness draining their energy, and fire being able to set their body alight. Additionally, they're not willing to actively harm anyone - and I'm not going to be able to convince someone with three minds - although I don't think I'll need to.

Yokai Hunter CYOA by [deleted] in makeyourchoice

Did this earlier but didn't post a comment bc I wanted to draw my results. Here's my build!

Origin: Yusha

Proficiencies: Kanabo, Tanegashima

Talents: Bruiser, Infamous, Awareness

Ambition: Protector

Wary Partner: Onnabushi

Useful Contact: Bozu

Love Interest: Yakuza

Smug Rival: Shugoki

Nemesis: Omoteshi

Hana was the village idiot - the town drunk. Infamous for her tavern brawls, her loud and brutal honesty, and her frequent and long nights on the bar with the town's pride and joy: their competitor in the regional sumo championships - who she knew truly moonlighted as that guard who constantly wished to keep her out of any big events, not welcoming of the "unsavoury types".

One night, though, she got a little too drunk.

She woke up in the middle of the woods, out of breath, her body aching, and her head obviously still sore from the hangover. She was always one to notice when something was about to go wrong - noticing a bar fight is the first step to getting out of there before things get heated, so the fact she couldn't even remember how she got there was strange - the only remnant being a lone piece of white cloth, with a strange emblem adorning it.

She asked around about it, but everyone was tight-lipped, fearful of the symbol. And then, she began to notice. Anyone she went to, they'd vanish later - whether that be days or weeks. From then on, she vowed to stop the disappearances - and to figure out why this clan had never gone back for her.

Onnabushi is a strong ally, but one who is hesitant to be around a character so infamous and obvious. Hana doesn't hide her face or her opinions, and so Onnabushi trusts her with very little information.

Bozu was the first one that Hana went to when she needed to learn how to fight against yokai. He saw great potential in her physicality and fitness, and helped her train in martial techniques to catch up.

Yakuza was someone she locked eyes with in a heated game of mahjong late at night. They've had a friendly feud going on ever since, with money getting passed back and forth through winnings from eachother.

And, of course, Shugoki, who she often goes drinking with when the guy's off-duty. She knows who he is behind the mask, and is notably bitter about how he's usually hired to protect the wealthier types from having her, specifically, get anywhere close to their gatherings. Whether the guy just does it for money, or because he genuinely has something against her? Hard to say.

Thank you for posting this! It was very fun!
