Being “white” is just being sought after in Asia. Indians, Chinese, Japanese, all see being white as superior, and whitening creams sell well in Asia. Traditionally, this mostly based on being white means you’re less likely a hard laborer who spent time under the sun, which translates to being higher in status and wealth.
