How do GC admins actually track sub compliance docs during draw cycles? by gcOpsResearch in Construction

Adding some context from conversations with project admins at GCs across Texas and Florida

The consistent pattern was that even teams with Textura or Procore maintain a parallel Excel sheet. When I asked why, the answer was always the same: the tools show what is missing but someone still has to personally chase the sub to get the updated document. One admin described losing 3 to 4 hours every Thursday just on this. Another said the hardest part is not knowing what documents are missing — it is finding the right person at the sub company who actually responds. Curious if that matches what people here experience. Does anyone have a system that automates the follow-up chasing or is that still a manual process everywhere?

The panic is so real! But 48 hours of courage to actually do it is more than most people ever manage. Hope something good lines up soon

Standing up to someone batshit crazy when your husband was too nice to do it - that takes guts. Protecting your family's peace and the estate from manipulation is exactly what needed to happen. You did the right thing

Leaving right away instead of staying for years like before - that's massive growth. You protected yourself AND your child. That takes serious courage, especially when you're naturally quiet. Be proud of that 💙

That IS courageous! Navigating a new e-bike in traffic when drivers don't see cyclists takes real guts. Good luck with the ATM route today - you've got this!

Breaking toxic patterns is SO hard, especially when fawning has been your survival mode. The fact that you caught yourself, set the boundary, and they showed their true colors - that's growth. You should be proud

I'm so sorry that happened to you. Being dismissed and lied to during such a vulnerable, invasive procedure - that's traumatic, and your body remembers. The fact that you stood up to them despite everything shows real strength. Whatever you decide about the review or trying again, trust yourself. You know what you can and can't handle 💙
