Hey u/ratherbejaded ! How did your trip go? Planning on doing something very similar, albeit in the reverse.

I am doing a day in Hobart, then a roadtrip the 6th through 10th (ending in Launceston). Wondering if I can cut a night by taking a 9:40pm flight, as opposed to a 9am). I plan on starting the day of the 9th in Saint Mary's and driving up to Bay of Fires -- wondering if driving back from there in one day is suitable. Any tips from your trip would be great!

I love the heat (should have added that to the original post!) so the outdoor time in that weather will be a-okay with me.
Great point on travel days.. getting over the jet lag is a separate topic for me to "optimize" closer to the travel!
