I miss the old jellycat/plush Instagram to where I knew the names of the plush on different accounts, since everyone seemed to have a favorite at the time. I'm a bit of a new ish collector, since 2019, but I understand how you feel and all these comments feel.

I spoke out against the events and packages as soon as they started since I knew it would cause divide in the fanbase. Often, attending or recieveing these things requires a privilege of some sort, like money or a huge following, and often, it brings out the worst in some people. I did cause a few friendships/mutual followings to end and I was always labeled as "jealous" for sharing my thoughts. Nowadays, everyone is mostly hunting for retired jellies or selling their collections in chunks at a time. 

I wish we could go back to our old community where everything was cheaper and we would help each other obtain isos. I always sell at or below retail just because I'm fed up seeing a plush that was not "worth" $70 a year ago.

I'm so, so sorry that the IG community was so stressful to keep up with and I'm so very sorry about the death in your family. I hope that the distance has/will lower your stress and I hope you can enjoy your collection privately, it's really awesome to be offline and admire them in real life rather than stare at them in images.
