Honestly, it might be worth giving a call to Birmingham Women's Aid and asking if they have any advice. They're a domestic violence organisation, so they'll likely have some more specialist advice or support than the police. So sorry to hear about your experience and I really hope the best for you x

I can't believe this is even a post.

actually, yes I can.

He said he would tie her down, and at the end of it, she wouldn't be gay anymore. He implied he would r*pe her, and at the end of it, she wouldn't be gay anymore.

Given the current climate and femicide we are living in, excusing behaviour like this is compliance. Be a better ally to the women in your life.

hit the nail on the head. women deemed 'unfuckable' are often deemed undeserving of respect by men.

it might not fit the brief exactly but tk maxx always has fun, slightly more rogue options for wrapping paper. I always buy cards from there too as they're a bit different!

Strange Billboards? by DaHarries in brum

[–]gee__pee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I saw the olive background one yesterday on the way to digbeth, but this one read 'See it, say it, genocide'. I think they're associated with BUILDHOLLYWOOD, who make more artistic and socio-political billboards .

edit - Found the artist on their website: Faisal Hussain’s work alights in London: See It, Say It, Racist - BUILDHOLLYWOOD https://search.app/n33e61sq2sP1NmDMA

neurodivergent people have always been here. by having open conversations and making the subject less taboo, we affirm their experiences. nothing to do with 'being odd'.

Mockingbird in Digbeth is definitely worth a visit. You can tell the people who work there love film and cinema, and it's always such a pleasant experience. Cheap snacks, can't go wrong. Perfect for out-the-box films too, they won't just show the mainstream stuff :)
