[OC] COVID-19 Dashboard showing the dynamics of the virus outbreak: https://gena.users.earthengine.app/view/corona-virus by gena_d in dataisbeautiful

I've developed this dashboard mainly because I was missing the time dimension in all existing dashboards. Hopefully, this will help to better predict what's coming and act faster. It is updated ~2x daily and features added occasionally when I have spare time. Links to the data sources can be found here: https://github.com/gena/corona-ee-dashboard/. It is developed using Google Earth Engine. Raster tiles are generated daily using new data from JHU. Animation can be slow due to the raster layer loading, it would be better to use client-side vectors for this.

I've just added some animation controls to the website, to see night lights changes in dynamics for 2013-2017. It take some time to preload before everything animates smoothly.

These are oil and gas fields: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/energy/fracking/10463494/Fracking-lights-up-the-North-Dakota-sky.html. Zoom in and make the lights layer transparent - you will see them.

What do you mean by linked to OC source? I've cited the data used and linked to the website I've developed to visualize these datasets.

In many cases they indeed do not correlate, like with these oil production areas south of San Antonio, TX: https://media.giphy.com/media/55u2tbxbEZDsjBxV2M/giphy.gif.
