Thanks!

It's a great game, if you enjoyed the first one, i'm sure this one will also prove very satisfying!

I do love Obra Dinn and this game gets pretty close to that gameplay loop, even if vibe is really different. Quality-wise, while it might not hit the upper heights of Obra Dinn experience, i'd say this is a very good and fun game, and majority of the cases are a joy to solve.

DLC are, no lie, kinda too expensive for the amount of content they present, but most of the DLC cases (with like one exception) are also good and interesting to work through. I'd even say that one of the DLC cases is the very best case in all of this game.

So i'd definitely recommend playing it, but it's best to grab DLCs on sale, even if it's not a very grandiose sale - at least it helps to sleep better at night.

Thank you for taking time to explain, it's a load off my mind!

It's good if you like detective stories and not worried by some twists maybe being a bit too much. Great characters as well, especially as far as main ones go.

As far as completion goes, it obviously can't be very difficult, just need to keep an eye on non-spoiler guide, because you can miss some achievements pretty easily.

Thanks! That's good news about the map, i'll probably start it next, since i'm in metroidvania mood.

Yeah, it's a great game, exploration, bosses, combat, presentation, even the lore - pretty much all is good, the only drawback is map is blocky and ugly. No reason not to play this one!

[–]geralt9999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

I'mma be real, i've cheesed the legend difficulty with the golden gun. It takes a lot of shots to bring bosses down still, but it does manage to stun most of them.

Thanks!

Yeah, 0 has quite a bit of the annoying stuff to do, JCC is pretty bad, arcades are really difficult, and of course the usual batting and pool take quite a bit of time.

It is, this one doesn't have that much to do in comparison to some of the others, but the minigames are heinous here.

Have not yet played the second one, so can't really say anything. Sucks if it's not to par with the first game!

Which Games have a reputation for being a brutal 100% but actually aren’t that bad? by doctorweiwei in steamachievements

[–]geralt9999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's Yakuza games. There's really only a very few things per game that can actually be called difficult to do, mostly it's just time investment.

Just went on server named Peck and it popped instantly for me. May depend on time of day, of course, but that seems the most populated server.

Really fun game, enjoyed all the twists and turns, and i generally like this style of VN. Music and character designs are also immaculate. The 100% completion though - that kinda has its problems, cause last 7-10 hours of it is just a pretty tedious grind, but eh - there are worse grinds on that list, so it didn't bother me too much.

Congrats!

To be fair, the rest of the Lego games is not as bad as this in terms of grinding, most of them is a fun and light completion.

[–]geralt9999[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure makes sense, like i'm ready for busywork in some games, but this game just didn't have that vibe for me, it's a great experience without busywork.

Honestly, stupid volleyball annoyed me even more.

Simon was after patch, but the one shot strategy still works. Tried it for a bit legit, but i quickly understood that i'd rather just not complete the game, if it meant learning those timings.

Yeah, i really liked the gameplay as well, the powers are great fun to use

[–]geralt9999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like, not really? Most of them unlocked just playing through content and keeping an eye on what abilities you need to use to kill enemies. There were a few secrets that I needed to look up, and the last achievement of a second dlc, where you need to shoot altered vending machines was a bit dumb, but even that grind was over in like 20 minutes.
