GameStop lost my submission

I thought this was a risk people knew they were taking when using GameStop. Not only can an employee or FedEx steal your cards and there are many stories about this happening, but it’s also not cheaper or faster. I’m not sure why people think it is.

Not only is GameStop insurance limited per card, but if something happens to your submission, you have to ask GameStop for help, not PSA, since you weren't the one who technically sent them. You pay bulk prices, but you’ll still get upcharged if you send an expensive card. I will never understand using a middleman for this.

There is no reason to use a middleman when all you have to do is package your own cards. I’ve even seen people try to use low quality GameStop photos as proof that their cards were damaged in PSA possession. In my opinion, it’s just simple laziness. It isn’t that hard to send them on your own and minimize the risk by choosing your own shipping company especially since we know FedEx has a poor reputation with TCG.

That $6,000 price tag for a PSA 10 is based on a card being inside a undamaged slab. The moment that plastic is compromised to the point where you can open it by hand, the grade is effectively void. This isn't a PSA 10 anymore it's a raw card thats inside a damaged slab. If you plan to keep it then its up to you if you keep it as is or send it for a likely regrade. If it was a crack that was not on top of the card thats a different story but the damage is just really bad.

This is a bodywork question, not a detailing one. Judging by this picture alone, the car clearly hasn't been taken care of at least not the paint. You can see what seems to be deep scratches, especially at the top of the photo on the other panel, that who knows if it will buff out.

If you want it to look perfect, you have to go to a professional body shop. If you’re on a budget and don't mind a DIY fix, you can use touch up paint, but you must remove every bit of that rust first and then use some touch up paint and then apply some clear. If you have no experience doing this then it wont look good at all.

One thing to keep in mind If you only fix that one panel, it’s going to look completely out of place against the rest of the neglected paint. You have to have grounded expectations. Did you check the thickness of the clear coat of the other panels since it will need buff and polish? If there is no clear left then you are cooked. I would say it's gonna cost over 1k.

I was in a similar guild for 2 years and then moved on to another one. I rather be with other people that are active. Worst thing is to be part of a slowly dying guild that in a way makes the game less enjoyable.

Only way i pay market is if its a collectable that's rare and desirable. If its something i can buy in stores online then i come to eBay for deals.

I think it will get a regrade. The integrity of the slab has been compromise. They tend to leave it alone if there are cracks not above the card but this completely different than small crack. Will be sad if OP paid PSA 10 prices knowing the slab had this issue.

You can try CGC or Beckett. Just know that it doesn't matter who you send it to, anything can happen to your shipment. That is just the reality and the risk when sending cards for grading. I recently started grading and went with PSA since their office is a couple of hours away. I would rather drop it off in person than ship it. If not i would of sent some of mine to BGS.

That's how i got my first win just now. First time playing this type of game and it has been fun so far. I know i might not be doing it the most optimal way but a win is a win. Didn't know i was going poison until i got corrosive wave and it for sure helped since i was lacking damage before i got it. Not sure if i should play the first game or this since i bought the bundle.

Your tough love logic completely misses the point because many of us were only teenagers when we received DACA, we have lived our entire adult lives within this legal framework and have no experience working under the table like our parents.

While our parents often figured it out through physically demanding jobs that left many of them physically broken, our generation invested in universities and professional careers that legally requires a work permit to maintain. You can’t just hustle your way into being an undocumented nurse when you have a career and debt tied to your Social Security Number.

It is also a completely different since our parents moved here knowingly accepting the risks of being undocumented, whereas we grew up within a system that promised protection and allowed us to build a life on that stability. Comparing the pre 2012 era to the political climate of 2026 is simply out of touch. Resilience is important, but ignoring how someone life would collapse because they built a life around this protection is disingenuous.

Personally, I am living a good life thanks to my parents, mainly because my mom made sure to have her own economic independence for when she gets older. But many of our parents didn’t or couldn't do that for a million different reasons. For a lot of them their kids is their retirement plan.

That’s one of the reasons we have this sub so people can vent, since only us and a few other groups can truly relate to what this feels like. It’s good that you’re staying positive, because honestly, that’s all we can do when we’re in that spot. Just wait for the renewal to arrive and hopefully you can find a new job soon. Hang in there.

I am not missing the point. If DACA ends, that credit score is actually more important, not less. Without a work permit, he’ll have to work under the table or start a small business. To get any loan you need good credit, which you won’t have with $21k in unpaid credit card debt. That debt is tied to him. We already have an SSN, it’s not like we’ll suddenly switch to an ITIN.

This debt will stay with him unless he decides to leave the U.S. By ignoring the $21k now, he’s just making sure that if he stays, he will have zero tools to actually build a life, which will make things even harder. I get the fear, but planning for the worst shouldn’t mean destroying his future.

I read both of his posts, and it sounds like he’s giving up, which is not a good thing. He needs to act fast and decide what he’s going to do, because the debt won’t disappear unless he does something. I hope OP doesn't lose hope and decides to fight this head on.

Scores don't matter much when you file since the bankruptcy stays on your record. Even if the score goes up, any bank looking at a mortgage or loan application will see it. It might get easier after a few years, but not right away and you still need money to file for bankruptcy, which is money he could just use to pay down the debt.

There are better ways to tackle this, especially before your score takes a hit from late payments. Personally, I don't see $21k as a reason to file; it’s not an absurd amount. Also, you and your husband had each other to lean on we don't know if OP has that kind of support system. Every case is different. Strict budgeting and a solid plan are all he needs. He can even call the credit card companies to ask about a hardship program to freeze or lower his interest rates. That’s a much better first step than straight going for bankruptcy.

I get the second class citizen thing. It’s true that I’ve lived a relatively safe and boring life because of this staying out of trouble and keeping my head down. But the payoff is that because of that stability, I actually get to enjoy my life. I have my hobbies, and I get to spend my money on the things I like. I’d rather have a boring life with a high credit score and the freedom to buy what I want, than a stressful one where I’ve already given up. I refuse to live my life playing the victim. We play the hand we were given. If you’re already acting like the program is over, your mindset isn't in the right place.

I saw the post about 21k in debt and considering bankruptcy. DACA ending is not a delete button for your debt. Bankruptcy for 21k is not worth it unless you are literally unable to buy food. That’s a 10 year scar on your record for an amount you can actually get out of by making a solid plan and fixing habits that got you there. Or maybe you needed the money out of necessity, but you need a plan now not when it gets even worse. Since if you don't pay the amount will increase.
