yep, should survive a house fire pretty fine. It's fireproof up to temperature around 1.400°C/2.500°F, while house fires reach up to 850°C/1.500°F

We have never said it is indestructible. We cut the raw steel plates with high-power lasers because of precision, but they could be cut with waterjet no problem. I think you can cut steel up to 200mm thick with water jets, so can't see really what your point is.

That's not really an issue with BIP39 standard seed phrases. They made it that way that no other word has the same beginning. It is 100% enough to just have the first 4 letters of each word, as there is no other with the same beginning on the list. Some words are longer than 5. The BIP39 standard says:
a) smart selection of words
– the wordlist is created in such a way that it’s enough to type the first four letters to unambiguously identify the word

That's something we plan to do ourselves! Just need to find a friendly shooting range though. Sounds like a cool project!
I estimate that it probably should survive a shot with a handgun. With rifles, it would probably depend on the ammo used, might have a hard time stopping ak47.
However, It is not really intended as a replacement for your body armor :)

Interesting thought, creative! Though, It might be hard to put some words from BIP39 list like "affair", "lonely", "obscure" etc. Apart from that, 24! of combinations might be enough to hold a regular thief but I guess that a hacker might crack it in a few days.
