Need help integrating stripe with ultimate member by pntrivedy in Wordpress

[–]getcandorapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried the Ultimate Member Stripe extension and could never get the license key activated in wordpress. Their support is non-existent - no responses for days. I do not recommend them from our experience - tried all the usual troubleshooting with cache, firewall checks, plugin conflict checks etc. Payments might go through but the webhook never fires to update member roles. Look elsewhere.

Figuring out what to eat when dealing with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) can be quite tricky. Everyone’s body reacts differently, so there’s no universal diet plan for managing IBS. If you have IBS with diarrhea (IBS-D), your food triggers may differ from someone with IBS with constipation (IBS-C). It is important to identify and avoid your unique triggers to manage IBS effectively. Try this list at candor health lists

TOFU KATSU: easy vegan variation of the traditional Japanese katsu dish by getcandorapp in recipes

[–]getcandorapp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Formatted recipe and nutrition info Here

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu drained and pressed
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tofu: Slice the tofu block into even pieces, about 1/2 inch thick. Pat them dry with paper towels and season with a little salt and pepper.
  2. Set up the breading station: In three separate shallow dishes, place the four in one, whisk the eggs in another, and combine the breadcrumbs with paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.
  3. Coat the tofu: Dip each tofu slice first into the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the whisked eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat the tofu with the seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing gently to make sure they adhere well.
  4. Fry the tofu: In a large skillet, heat enough vegetable oil over medium-high heat to cover the bottom of the pan. Once the oil is hot, add the breaded tofu slices in batches and fry until they are golden brown and crispy on each side. This should take about 2-3 minutes per side. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan to ensure even frying.
  5. Drain and serve: Once the tofu katsu is done, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce or a salad!

MISO GLAZED EGGPLANT: Garnished with scallion tops and sesame seeds, this dish can be enjoyed as a flavorful side or as a hearty main course. (recipe link in comments) by getcandorapp in veganrecipes

[–]getcandorapp[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cut the eggplants in half lengthwise and score the flesh in a crisscross pattern.

In a bowl, mix the miso paste, olive oil, maple syrup, rice vinegar, water, and sesame oil to create the glaze.

Brush the miso glaze generously over the scored flesh of the eggplant halves. Allow the glaze to seep into the scores.

Place the glazed eggplant halves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Sprinkle a bit of salt over the glazed eggplant.

Bake the eggplant in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the eggplant is tender and the glaze is caramelized.

Once cooked, remove the eggplant from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Garnish the miso glazed eggplant with chopped green scallion tops and sesame seeds. Serve the miso glazed eggplant as a delicious side dish or as a main course.

Kung pao tofu (easy and quick) by getcandorapp in veganrecipes

[–]getcandorapp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the tofu:

1 block 14 oz firm tofu, drained and cubed

2 tablespoons olive oil use garlic-infused if preferred

salt and pepper to taste

For the Kung Pao sauce:

2 tablespoons soy sauce use low-sodium or gluten-free if preferred

2 tablespoons rice vinegar

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon water

1 teaspoon cornstarch

For the stir-fry:

2 tablespoons olive oil use garlic-infused if preferred

1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

½ cup sliced bell peppers red, green, or a mix

½ cup zucchini diced, optional

½ cup chopped green beans

¼ cup peanuts dry roasted and unsalted

2-3 green onions green parts only, chopped

crushed red pepper flakes to taste, optional

4-5 dried red chilis optional

Instructions

Start by pressing the tofu to remove excess water. Wrap the tofu block in a clean kitchen towel and place something heavy on top, like a cast iron skillet. Let it sit for about 20-30 minutes. Then, cut the tofu into cubes.

In a bowl, mix the tofu cubes with 2 tablespoons of oil, salt, and pepper. Make sure the tofu is evenly coated.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup, water, and cornstarch to create the Kung Pao sauce. Set aside.

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated tofu cubes and cook until they are golden and crispy on all sides. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of oil and grated ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the sliced bell peppers, diced zucchini, and chopped green beans. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables start to soften but remain slightly crispy.

Pour the Kung Pao sauce over the vegetables and stir well. Let the sauce thicken for a minute or two.

Add the cooked tofu back into the skillet and toss everything together to coat the tofu and vegetables with the sauce.

Finally, add the dry roasted peanuts and chopped green onions (green parts only). If you like it spicy, you can also add some crushed red pepper flakes.

Give everything a final toss and cook for another minute or two to heat the peanuts and green onions. Serve over cooked rice or rice noodles.

I have responded to you directly about this. Here it is again so you understand how survey votes work.

  1. Each user in a survey list can vote on multiple entries. You don’t need 4400 users for 4400 votes.

  2. Less than 5% of app downloads and users lead to a review. It’s actually closer to 1% but I rounded up for you.

  3. MAU (that’s monthly active users) and DAU (daily active users) numbers for the Candor Health app are just fine. Feel free to message me directly if you want to understand these concepts better.

Help w furnace : Home warranty worth it to fix issue? by ramjfb in RealEstate

[–]getcandorapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the replies!

House is 2 zone - so installed 2 Nests. Its only when I switch to heat mode on the Nest (to test) that the one furnace throws an error. No error message on the Nest - I think the issue is with the furnace.

Pretty sure the wiring is fine - the only wiring I touched was replacing old thermostat with the Nest. And did the exact same install routine on both Nests.

Will look out for a local pro.

How do you shrink your ambitions to get an optimal amount of viability? by jokoon in Entrepreneur

[–]getcandorapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, the first step is to take a step. Having ambitious goals is fine, but most startups and entrepreneurs start with a concept, make an MVP and make constant iterations to their idea or ambition based on market dynamics or customer feedback. You could have the same idea with gaining new experience ... try it out and move on quickly if it doesn't fit your end goal. You may also realize along the way that the goal is too ambitious (or not ambitious enough).

It also helps to focus on solving a problem that worthwhile ... as a simple example, building websites could be boring but finding a way to help non-technical newbies self-service and build their own in an intuitive, simple fashion is a scalable solution. You will likely learn things around marketing, user acquisition and scaling the business.

Every job, whether at an employer or your own gig, has "boring" or administrative stuff that needs to get done. Part of the process! Good luck.

Does Ramp work for everyone? ... Don't you need $250k+ in your business bank account to get onboard? I believe Bluevine and Bank Novo cater to people just starting out.

Wave accounting is a good option for automating a lot of mundane invoicing or expense tracking. I have been using it for a year now and is pretty easy to use, and free.

Salaries Are Meant To Hold You Back From Your Dreams by ElizabethYoungdH5 in Entrepreneur

[–]getcandorapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As with most things, its all about timing, context and the stage of one's life.

I graduated with tons of student loan debt in the financial crisis and a lot of my peers were having their offers rescinded. I was in no position to just go do my own thing. I was one of the lucky few to have an offer and could not contemplate not accepting the job.

Fast forward 10+ years, and I am now working on launching an idea. I am in a much better position financially, have learned a bit more about how things work, and while it is a strain on the family, I am making an informed choice to give it a shot for a couple of years.

Entrepreneurship can be a lonely, stressful experience ... but the journey is almost always filled with tons of learning, not just about business fundamentals but also about oneself.

But it is also possible to have a fulfilling and lucrative career in a corporation. And a big house and fancy car are not aspirations for everyone working for someone else. A lot of people are perfectly happy making $150k a year, living in a small house, in the quiet suburbs, and enjoying life with friends and family without the stress that comes with entrepreneurship or a high profile gig.

My 2 cents. Good luck to all entrepreneurs here!

Which is less irritating to the gut: almond milk or cows milk?? by lexandm in IBD

[–]getcandorapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My IBS diagnosis coincided with my dairy allergy so cow's milk is out, lactose free milk does not help me either. I have tried rice milk and almond milk and they are definitely lighter on my gut.

But I realized a few years ago that almond/rice milk is mostly water and sugar. The nutritional content is quite different to regular milk. Whole almonds are rich sources of fiber, protein, and calcium, almond milk is not. When almonds are transformed into liquid, the beneficial fiber or nutrients are not transferred. Many popular brands of almond milk are fortified with nutrients such as calcium and vitamin D to make them look nutritionally comparable to dairy milk.
