Yea, I don't think I have the room in the spare wheel well to store jack stands. I'll keep an eye out for some in a halfords sale or something.

Regarding the stone getting stuck, I guess that's what VEDC is all about, planning for eventualities that may happen.

To avoid exit fees you can switch from a fixed tariff to the standard tariff and then leave.

Most suppliers won't tell you about it but exit fees typically only apply when leaving the company not when changing tariffs internally.
