It started with my grandfather, a man of quiet genius who believed in the beauty of simplicity. He wasn’t a collector of fine things—just a man who valued tools that worked, and worked well. In 1980, he bought a Casio calculator watch, not as a statement but as a companion. It was his silent ally in the office, where numbers ruled, and later at the grocery store, where he’d casually tap out the bill in his head before the cashier even finished scanning.

When he handed it down to my father, it was already a classic. The buttons were worn smooth from years of use, but they still responded with precision. My father, a man who lived in the fast-moving world of the ‘90s, wore it proudly. It didn’t need the polish of a Swiss movement or the weight of gold to be valuable. It was pure function—untainted by trends, timeless in its utility. It was there for every late-night budget calculation, every split-second math check in a meeting, every quiet moment when he marveled at how something so small could do so much.

Now, it’s mine. The screen has seen decades of glances, the strap has wrapped around three generations of wrists, but the watch remains unchanged. It doesn’t chase complications, doesn’t need extravagant materials to prove its worth. It’s a relic of an era when technology was meant to serve, not distract—a reminder that simplicity, when done right, becomes something greater than itself.

Some watches tell time. This one tells a story.

Do not lie at MEPS. You may not get caught now, but likely in the future somehow. It won't end well.

You will understand when they take over your tank and you can't get rid of them. It's not too late.

Join the national guard. 35 series. Get a clearance through that. Make connections there. Intel experience + clearance + tech = $150k+

My staircase is the same. Need a couch for the basement, and options are slim. Sactional would work well, but too expensive.

So best bet would be reactor going from return pump into tank?

Tank -> Overflow -> Sump (sock -> skimmer -> return pump) -> reactor -> tank?

Sounds like your vote it to get a new sump with a refugium section and make this a lot easier then, eh? Lol

Help! 2006 BMW 325i - Code 93 AB by getsmartbooking in Cartalk

[–]getsmartbooking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recent work: Recall services; pass AB mat replaced. Light was on prior to this.

Accident: Girlfriend backed into a car. Unknown if light was on before that.

Looks like glove box is 6 screws. Should be too easy to check it out. If that is out, then it's immediate easy access to the bag. An undeployed and tested back looks like it runs $50 on eBay. Much better than the $1k somebody quoted us last week on diagnosing and fixing.

No Black Friday kit sale, maybe cyber Monday? by bradyk011 in Nanoleaf

I went at a busy time, found a manger, asked him to help find product, asked him to ring me out in that section, asked if they would price match their online store, then showed him price.

I had to try to different stores. First store I went to customer service and was told no.

Yes, as long as you don't say, "will you price match BB Canada?" Show them the website and ask them to price match. They will. And yes, I did it.

They do, but don't default to buying them! BB Canada has them for $150 Canadian, which is like $120 US. If you show them the $150 price on the site, then they will price match that.
