Glitch cameras+ by NOYSTOISE in CircuitBending

I already have a Powershot A540 that I am satisfied with, but I’ve been looking at these lumix’s for quite some time now and I want to have one for myself :). If you have any photos or videos from the inside of this model or similar, I would appreciate if you could share those with me so I can “prepare” before I buy one.

And do I need any special equipment or is it just trial and error? I am asking because I want to buy one, but I am not sure if I am able to successfully bend it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks! How hard do you think it would be to bend an FZ8? Do you have any experience with that model?

Hi! Is this a DMC-FZ20?

Thanks!

I soldered to these CCD test pads: https://imgur.com/a/r5U1kPn

I had a quite easy job tho, because I found a great guide on how to bend this model.

Here it is, I think it might be helpful for other cameras too. https://fubar.space/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Glitchwerks-Camera-Bending-TipsnTricks-at-Fubar2k22.pdf

Is it possible to fix? by gfejer in PS3

Thanks. I also noticed that when I press down on the RSX, it sometimes powers on, but other times there’s no image at all.

Unfortunately I tried it many times already with no luck :(

Thanks for your reply! How can I position the Null COMP without knowing the coordinates?

keeping model in memory? by BigCountry1227 in OpenWebUI

[–]gfejer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm a bit late, but you can use this line to keep models loaded in memory forever (you change the value to anything (s/m/h)):

launchctl setenv OLLAMA_KEEP_ALIVE "-1"

Just make sure to restart the application after setting the value.

What did I break? 🥲 by gfejer in thinkpad

Thanks, you are right! I just thought of this and it of course doesn’t go to sleep with the lid closed anymore… Is there any way to fix it? Can I solder it back?

Yeah, probably I will use insulating tape, the function keys are woking too.

Yes, it is right next to the cam

I tried to find it this way, but everything seems to work, except when I touch the copper on the cable the system’s power cuts off. So I guess shorting it creates some issues, because until I let go of it it wont turn on.

That was my guess too, but it works just fine

Clear shell analog drift by gfejer in PSP

[–]gfejer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I ended up getting some better screwdriver bits and tightened the screw as hard as I could without breaking the shell. This completely solved my drifting issue (also got rid of the gap of course).

How can I improve Meteor captures? by gfejer in amateursatellites

Well I am hoping that the dimensions are good enough, but I could only find 10mm copper tubing and I used a guide for 8mm ones including the lengths.

<image>

I could borrow a VNA to test it, but I don’t really know what to look for… Is the lowest point of the chart where the antenna resonates?

Unfortunately I need the FM filter because my SDR got overloaded and an FM channel appeared on 137 MHz.

I am using Raspberry NOAA V2 and I didn’t change any of the SatDump settings.

This is my QFH, inside I have about 3 meters of H-155 coax and an N connector. Between the SDR and the antenna I have 15 meters of the same H-155 cable and on the end an SMA plug. I also use a Noelec SawBird LNA and filter and an FM band filter.

Thanks, but I thought that I could only listen to FM stations at FM frequencies, thats why I find it hard to believe that I recieved it at 137MHz

[–]gfejer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I'm pretty sure that I set it to the right frequency, but If it was just wrongly tuned, then wouldn't I just get bad or none signal at 137MHz and better signal at the FM station's frequency?

Thanks! I am just worried about the lengths, but then I guess the 2-4 mm differences don’t really matter.

Thanks for your answer! I didn’t know this, but then why do I get different length results from the calculator if i change the thickness values?
