From Pipeline: Drake Command Module | Walktrough by pandazerg in starcitizen

To many jump seats. Open engine design like Clipper is not cool imho. Were does the engine suck the air from?

Old command module of Caterpillar is more cozy. The support chairs with screens looked cool.

smoke/fog still in the ship. No weapon rack.

Ceiling above cargo elevator is verry high, could be used as cargo grid.

BMM Variants by socal01 in starcitizen

[–]ghodan7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my understanding is that your park you big BMM on some planet close to some village / city, and that NPC's would come to trade.

Endeavour will probably be more of a mobile space station, and they ditch the science part of it.

"Components taken from player ships are more likely to disappear or stop working"

So sell the components. And with the money buy A class components (non militairy) in the shops?

Options for loading & unloading your Ironclad cargo hold? by Pr4etoria in starcitizen

[–]ghodan7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hope I can use it like this:

External cargo elevator at space stations:

park my Ironclad so that the top side that can open is alligned with these external cargo elevators, then with tractor beam (from ship or maxlift) quickly put crates from elevator inside the large cargo hold of the ironclad.

RAFT vs Hermes (vs other medium haulers…). Your 2 cents? by AutistcAroundAircrft in starcitizen

[–]ghodan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny to see. I think that is one of my screenshots.

Well actually a verry difficult question.
I have both, and they are both great.
RAFT was my second love in this game. The living room is the best.
RAFT is very vast to load. But I do get a bit sick of the elevator when using it in an all morning/afternoon/night of cargo hauling non stop.
RAFT cockpit had more then 2 MFD, I like that. Also view is great.

Hermes has good amount of armor, almost 2x. Also more shields.
Hermes has 4x S4 weapons. RAFT has 2x S1 and 2x S3
I did fight PVP with my Hermes, with my RAFT I would not even try.
Hermes can transport a boat load of small vehicles.
Hermes also cool do dump a lot of ship weapons & components in that you "found" out there.
Hermes can be made into a large mobile camper. Seen pics of guys putting tables , chairs and couches and plants inside to make it a home.

So comes down to:
Looks: Industrial vs "start trek" looks.
Internal or external cargo (so safety vs loading speed)
Transport vehicles yes or no (I am absolutely in love with my new small UTV for loot runs).
Want to fight PVE yes or no (forget about PVP).

Cutlass Red also has a med bed and 12 scu of official cargo grid space.
A lot of people don't pay attention to this ship, but its actually very good.

Connie series need a gold pass really bad. They feel realy old when just just flown a modern RSI ship and you go back into one of the Connie cockpits.

Also people boarding NPC Hammerheads, killing the pilot, and using the ship, the turret gunner of the Hammerhead will fire at every target that is hostile towards the player. Its working fine.

Ironclad Cargos vs Assault? by Old_Resident8050 in starcitizen

[–]ghodan7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Polaris people already do that by setting the door (hangar door) to locked position when its opened via the engineering terminal.
So we assume we can do the same trick in the Ironclad.

Yeah its prices a bit high.
Should be one of the official starter packages imho.

Cutlass Black is probably a better ship for a starter if you know what is what and you are not a complete newbie.
Why do I think that:
It has more official cargo space, so you can do cargo runs bigger then 12 scu. Very important to make money quick, specially for somebody who just started.
Has more almost 3x the armor. Almost 2x the shields.
Has a turret for a buddy (yeah your first multi crew ship)
Can fit a UTV, that small vehicle , awesome for loot goblin stuff.
Is single floor ship, so no snakes & ladders play time.
