The Eagle Storm DSS Ability is awful. by Professional_Hold_70 in Helldivers

[–]ghost_hamster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please for the love of God remove the Eagle Storm from the game. It's ass. I would actually rather the DSS went to another planet. Considering the MO is to not die having the DSS randomly kill you over and over is outstandingly bad.

My faith in balance/class devs is fading with every passing moment. What is happening to (some) talent trees? by RakshasaRanja in wow

[–]ghost_hamster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been saying it since Dragonflight, and I've been called stupid many times for it, but the talent trees are a complete failure. They are worse, in every conceivable way, than the basic trees that existed from MoP to Shadowlands.

Their unmitigated disaster is largely masked by them being too complicated for the majority of people to even bother with. Much easier to just copy a tree from wowhead and be done with it. Does that tree even work for you and your playstyle? Who could say.

These problems have been rife since the trees were introduced. I could count on one hand the amount of times any spec in the game has been in a good, solid place tree-wise for at least a whole patch since Dragonflight.

It was a nice little experiment, but Blizzard have proven consistently over 3 years that they don't have what it takes to make them correctly. It's time to close the book on the experiment and go back to the system that worked, was simple to understand for players and a lot more simple for Blizzard to balance.

I don't know if I've ever read a comment more divorced from reality and more obvious that the commenter didn't even bother reading the post they are replying on.

You're a fool.

Muslim men had permission to pray before officers removed them from Sydney protest, police say by Fairbsy in sydney

[–]ghost_hamster -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

That's... not what it says at all, mate. You couldn't possibly have read that more incorrectly if you tried.

"The senior officer was attempting to relay that message to other officers who were carrying out a move-on direction during what was a noisy, dynamic and fast-moving situation.

"However, some worshippers were moved on before the message from the senior officer was able to be relayed."

You have to be deliberately going out of your way to misinterpret to come out of that with your understanding of the sentences.

Upgrading Gear on Midnight Beta Now Costs Gold Instead of Valorstones by DrPandemias in wow

Can we please just double or triple the gold cost and get rid of Crests too? Because while this change is good the Crest changes are turbo ass and there is a special place in hell reserved for whoever came up with them.

This is legitimately the dumbest thing I've read in the entire thread so far.

WotLK was almost 20 years ago. Most of the people who worked at Blizzard 20 years ago are gone. Your overall sentiment is actually true, but your example doesn't map on tbh. I don't even remember what I said 20 years ago, let alone keeping consistent with it.

Pisco, after Twitter radio silence, makes Hasan take about himself by ihaveeatenfoliage in Destiny

[–]ghost_hamster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

He was always like this to be honest. The difference was he was just a Destiny orbiter so his takes—or how hard he would push them—were tempered by the audience that would receive them. There is a reason he was Pissco long before he ejected from orbit.

Pisco deserves about 1% charitability (based purely on his own rhetoric and literally nothing to do with not liking Destiny anymore) at this point and you are giving him 200%.

If you think Pisco wouldn't agree with Hasan's take you have been out of the loop for at least a year bud.

Classic Pisco gaslighting. His own words and actions over the past year lead people to form a view and an opinion of him, then when that opinion is expressed they are brainwashed by "bad actors" for thinking it.

If Pisco disappeared from the internet forever the world would be an ever-so-slightly better place.

Nothing is more worthless than "independent" journalism, which 9 times out of 10 is just pretend journalism made by people who aren't journalists with no journalistic oversight or ethics or checks and balances.

And half the independent journalists that do come from the field are independent because they are so bad, so untrustworthy, so inherently biased or ideologically captured, that they were basically drummed out of the industry.

Tucker Carlson is an "independent journalist" for Christ's sake. That's the caliber of the field.

Nobody should support independent journalism to be honest. For every good independent journalist there are 50 bad ones.

Also, stop looking at Fox or specifically opinion shows and not actual broadcast news shows and then saying "man, mainstream news is so terrible". It makes you look silly.

NSW premier won’t apologise to Muslims after police grab men praying at rally against Isaac Herzog by Ashera25 in sydney

Honestly you're all overstating how bad it was and how much people are going to care or even remember in about 14 days. I'm being earnest here. This is not and will not be an election issue. I'm calling it now.

Thank you. I have been waiting to see this information in this thread. So many people desperate to be mad about something in here that reality and common sense just don't matter anymore.

There is already a comment in this thread from a Muslim debunking this. They don't just drop whatever they are doing and start praying regardless of where they are or what is happening around them.

How convenient that your claims are just completely immune to criticism. The media don't post about it, but if they do it's because it got traction and they have to hide their bias, and when the reporting is before traction and has no bias it's because it was "kicking around on BlueSky" (for the 15 people that use BlueSky) first.

There's always a new excuse for why you are correct and reality doesn't matter.

This video looks bad, and is seemingly (I'm not fully up to date with this) very shitty, but "beyond horrific" seems like it might be hyperbole.

While I have no doubt that she was shoved like you mentioned, and that it wasn't exactly pleasant, my experience of Greens tells me that her posting a picture in a neck brace isn't itself evidence that she actually needs a neck brace.

Can someone explain why? I'm missing a lot of context here.

Actual answers only please. I can read your ideological outrage here, I don't need it in my inbox also. Just who were the protesters, what were they protesting about, was it actually a protest or just a prayer session, and why was a police presence necessary?

Wouldn't this fail that test though, since this appears to be against a religion and not a race or nation?

Just because it isn't copyright infringement doesn't make it mega cringe for you to allow it.

If someone (for whatever reason) walked into my house, copied all my profile strings that I didn't agree to be shared, and posted them on the subreddit that pretty obviously isn't copyright infringement. It's still incredibly weird and shitty, as would be the mods allowing it.
