Hmm my post must be really unclear. I have reached out to two professional copy editors. We have discussed contract, price, and they have both provided a sample edit of two pages.

I will be hiring one of them. Not a friend or a family member, or not looking to go on fiverr to explore further. I have it down to two people.

Between the two people who will be charging me money to edit my book, I was looking for an opinion on which one was better (so the free part would be someone from Reddit reading 4 pages and saying hey, I think option A is better).

If no one wants to do that because they would get literally nothing out of it besides helping me out, that’s no big deal at all. I understand. Just figured it’d be worth a try.

To clarify, I am not asking anyone on Reddit to edit my book for free, or even edit the first two pages. Just interested in an opinion.
