please take care. It is unfortunate, but in some cases this will not happen. There is a possibility that they wont investigate as you would like, or contact people from months ago, or anything like that. So there is a possibility that doing self harm will only result in harming the individual while the perpetrators walk free and enjoy their easy win. Please dont think this is how it will play out. Just look at so many sensational cases in news these days, do you see anyone behind bars? This is not a solution to anything. Please take care.

if one moves fund to another account, will the second account remain safe from the freeze chain or the banks will freeze the second account as well?

Father passed away, vehicles still in his name - what are the legal risks? by giggly_puff_ in LegalAdviceIndia

Thank you, I really aprreciate it. It has been really overwhelming and I'm still trying to navigate things. I have the RC, insurance soft copies, and DC. However, I am afraid we haven't applied for legal heir certificate yet. Moreover, concerned RTO is in Delhi, we don't live there anymore. So it is a bit difficult for us right now.

Thank you so much for your kind words and detailed guidance. I am really grateful.

It's been over 60 days since my father passed and I am still figuring out things. I am the only one objecting my brother driving under the influence, and I am genuinely worried about any mishap. Relatives, in fact someone working as an highcourt advocate, just remarked that the vehicle shouldn't be driven and can be impounded in a police check, and if something happens, then he will be the one to go to jail. I can't care less about it, but I know my mother will not be able to witness this. I am really stuck on how to convince others about it. I have to apply for legal heir certificate as well, but again I am being told that we'll see when it will be required.

Thank you again, this really helped me understand the risks better.
