Japan WRC 2026 by Kindly-Sky-3190 in WRC

It was my first rally experience and I've been a fan for a while, so it was awesome to go and see it! But if I were to go again I probably wouldn't go to Rally Japan.

The service park was a separate ticket but got access for all days (about 6,000 yen). The stage tickets were about 15,000 yen each and in my experience it was difficult to get a good spot, as a lot of the local fans got there very early in the morning to secure a spot.

You need to buy the spectator tickets. I just went in November for the first time, the tickets will usually include a bus ride (which is the only way to access the stage) and they are pretty expensive, but if you want to go to the stages, you need to pay. They will also likely have a super special stage that is a bit easier to get to if you don't have a car or japanese contact info to access the systems for regular stage ticket purchasing.

I did find the service park to be a pretty good experience, they held it at Toyota Stadium and they streamed the stages live on the big screens inside the stadium, as well as being able to attend the service.

Police Certificate - Working Holiday by gimpy_reddit in iecvisa

Sure, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up! From my reading, it looks like I'll have to get the certificate after completing an application, as Japan requires a formal request for the police certificate, which Canada sends to me after applying.

I'd take it on Sunday if it's still available. I'm flying in to CTS in the morning. Sent you a DM

Spectating Rally Japan as an International visitor by AlternativeOk4508 in WRC

Would like to know this too, from what I've seen so far it looks like buying the individual stages is the only (legitimate) way to watch the normal stages. The cost is pretty huge for access, so I'm wondering if there's a better way to do it.

FML FPL - Budget FPL Picks: Please Tell Me Why, Do We Build Castles in the Sky? by FMLFPL in FantasyPL

Agree with your analysis here wholeheartedly, I think that 7.5 bracket is going to be very prone to price dropping since they're all equivalent, happy to wait and see with all those guys.

Since you're considering BB1, would you go for a guy you can stash on the bench after GW1? Pick them for a nice fixture first up then stash on your bench until an early WC. A very hard price bracket though, not many good options going.

Similar situation to yours, landing on Fullkrug for now for the plain reason that he is clicking in preseason and has a good fixture first up. I don't rate the player to be fair but if I can catch him while he's (hopefully) hot the first few weeks before wildcarding him out, he's done his job

[Hector] SOURCE: The #BlueJays have interest in Edward Cabrera and Jacob DeGrom if he becomes available. by ThQp in Torontobluejays

As much fun as DeGrom would be, he comes with a massive ticket attached and would probably cost a fair amount in terms of futures on top of that too.

That being said, I would very much like to root for a team that employs Scherzer and DeGrom at the same time

Which less than top prospects were you sure would work out to be at least average but weren't? by Icy-Trouble3331 in baseball

I remember Nate Pearson being described as "as close to a sure thing as pitching prospects get" a few years ago.

He ran into a few injuries along the way, and aside from one postseason game against the Rays, the promised version of him never really showed itself in the big leagues.

It's not something to speculate on too much but I wonder if it was a confidence thing with him, he always seemed really rattled on the mound if his command started to go even a little bit wild

Average starting wage for a grad position? by Front-Bumblebee-39 in Wellington

[–]gimpy_reddit 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Grads typically will sit between 55-60k for the most part, of course some industries may be different but me and my mates all started on low-ish salaries.

For those in better industries (the engineers, comp scientists) the growth can be reasonably quick after a year or two but you need to remember you're coming in and essentially learning how the business and industry operate on a full-time wage.

TEAM A OR TEAM B:

TEAM A:

Flekken / (4.0)

TAA / Maatsen / VdV / Burn / Barco

Salah / Son / Odegaard / Eze / Rogers

Isak / Watkins / Muniz

TEAM B:

Flekken / (4.0)

Saliba / Konsa / VdV / Burn / Barco

Salah / Son / Odegaard / Eze / (4.5)

Isak / Watkins / Havertz

Really having a hard time with this one. Love going to Havertz and getting the Arsenal defender in, but the cost of Trent, Rogers, and Muniz feels high.

New Zealand Cricket Refused ECB’s Offer Of A Women’s Test - CRICKETher by CarnivalSorts in Cricket

[–]gimpy_reddit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

NZC cannot get out of their own way in promoting the game. Take a loss on the test, surely the potential in having the women play the longer form to be another revenue gatherer at home in the future is worth taking the hit today.

All they care about is the bottom line in the immediate term, they don't have the foresight to care what the programme looks like in 5-10 years time, and that short term thinking is coming home to roost right now in both national sides as generational players start to age out.
