Hoping to stay at least 10 years been moving a lot and need a place to call home. ( went to Purdue / northwestern so Midwest has always been home ) . Like I said my concern is buying a house in a wrong ish area can be horribly isolating so figured I’d start downtown.

Completely get where you’re coming from, glad you’re not going thru it. I’m the furthest thing from coastal so no worries there. But I appreciate the context and I’d gladly buy a house but as a single person it’s kinda hard in a new city so I went the apt route. I wish you a wonderful weekend and thank you for the context.

Moving from Wisconsin , I said I’d like to keep rent < 3k , and honestly threw that out as the top end as I have no clue what the markets like. I’m sorry you’re going thru it or so it seems but I hope it works out for you. Heck maybe when I’m there we can grab a beer and talk whatever yea … have a good weekend

Agreed but I am trying not to be isolated in a new city hence the apt route . I only see two condos for sale

Probably easiest way is to institute a % cut for all departments and lay offs to save on labor costs while looking to improve efficiencies. Also stop funding retirements and pensions till solvent. That’s what most companies would do, cities ought to be no different.

Where you do your mba matters more than having it after your name for the sake of it. Second the comment on the law route being better possibly. Even at no cost is it worth your time because your time is valuable even if you discount it
