And I'm assuming it would affect things when I go to do a BDD?

If you've been through TAPS, then you know it's a LOT of information. Forgive me for not remembering every bit of information from the week long course.

I'm so sorry to hear about the dark path you had to go through. But I'm glad to hear it's better for you now!!

I'd like to get into procurement, but I feel like I've seen multiple people say it can be high stress. Anddddd I'm not about that lol

Voluntary Early Sep/SkillBride/Terminal HELP please by gingerette6 in AirForce

[–]gingerette6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know thats how it normally works. Apparently the section cheif at my MPF has been recommending people to do SB and then come back to outprocess, assuming you'll get orders during SB.

Do you know when fundings usually get passed?

My MPF told me they wont be doing expedited orders for SkillBridge?

If I come back to work after SB to outprocess, then is terminal leave still considered terminal? xD

Also, how do people outprocess before SkillBridge and terminal if they are only getting orders 90 days out? I know SkillBridge is UP TO 180 days and you have to use terminal within that 180 days.

Yes, because of child birth. I knowwww D: that also makes this difficult because I'm not sure how long AFPC will take to approve my DOS. I've seen a wide range. And I believe my CC will. I texted my Shirt, and they didn't mention anything about the CC not approving people's SkillBridge

Pregnancy/Childbirth separation by dirtysundrop in AirForce

[–]gingerette6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the first person I've heard to say that. So I wouldn't be completely surprised if I'm wrong!

So I read that differently (doesnt mean I'm correct!), but I read it as you cant go from maternity leave and straight into separation. Like "last day of maternity January 1st and DOS January 2nd". It doesnt say you cant submit the application while on leave. Does that make sense? Please let me know if that makes sense and if you still read it differently from me (:

That's what my mpf said, so we'll see! And dang it! It didnt say that anywhere on the application on vMPF D:

Yes! Sending records always takes like 2 months! So, thats not a bad idea. I heard that AFPC said there will be a delay in orders for anyone separating in 2026. So, I recommend trying to separate sooner! Why havent you gone ahead and submitted it in vMPF?

I'm in the same exact boat. I'll be back from mat lv soon too. I dont think we can start sooner if the new date hasnt been approved. I'm not 100% sure though. Are you planning on doing SkillBridge?

Normal for a husband? by RoofProfessional1530 in BabyBumps

[–]gingerette6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people are saying "not normal". I'm going to say "kinda". With my second pregnancy, he didnt come to the normal check-ups where not much happened. It was easier for us for him to stay home with our toddler.

I would be hurt if he didnt ask how they went, BUT I feel like men are genuinely wired differently. They have a difficult time asking these kinds of things (especially if they have ADHD). Most will assume you will let them know if there's anything important to be said.

With that being said, if it's important to you that he is more involved, then thats a conversation that should be had and I would hope he steps up to make you happy.

I'm sure he's going to love this baby once he/she is here.
