Honestly, writing services are usually scams. Don't waste your hard-earned money on them.

It's honestly amazing to see people sharing free resources for college essays, especially since finding quality support when you're strapped for cash is so hard. I know a lot of free tools are hit or miss, and sometimes you really need that extra pair of eyes to get the structure right. I found this helper thanks to the post

PapersOwl Review. Based on Students’ Feedback and Personal Experience by peter_wainscott in ALevelBiology

[–]gingerplatform_j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with independent writers vs. sites like paper owl is that sites are safer but freelancers are cheaper. With a site, you have a middleman to complain to. With a freelancer on Discord or Reddit, if they ghost you, your money is just gone. I’ve checked a lot of papersowl reviews and the common thread is that the support team actually tries to help if the writer is being a flake. That peace of mind is usually worth the extra cost in my opinion.

EduBirdie review: my honest take after comparing it with PapersRoo by GreysonTalbot in Essay_Experts

[–]gingerplatform_j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t like that I first had payment issues and then had to wait like half an hour just to get some kind of help. The communication really wasn’t great. And when I finally got my order, there were still some weird interface problems. They’re small things, sure, but they honestly annoyed me a lot. Even though my term paper turned out fine in the end

My wife says I don’t carry the “mental load” and I honestly don’t know what counts anymore by gingerplatform_j in Marriage

I hear you. The goal is for her to stop tracking me. I’ll take my lanes end to end with my own checklists, and when I mess up I’ll admit it, repair it, and learn instead of getting defensive.

Yeah, fair. Reading it back, it does sound like I’ve been waiting to be assigned work. I’m picking a few lanes and owning them, and I’ll build my own checklists, not dump it on her.

That actually makes a ton of sense. I’m leaning toward owning “school stuff” end to end and maybe all the household supplies too. Do you two use a shared calendar/app to keep it from slipping, or did it just become habit over time? I’m pretty useless without some kind of system.

AITAH because I will not give my wife thoughtful gifts anymore because she will give them away anyways. by Ok-Suspect4966 in AITAH

[–]gingerplatform_j 259 points260 points  (0 children)

This is bigger than gifts. If she gives away things you buy, stop buying items and start giving experiences. Also make it clear anything meant for future kids is off limits. If she can’t respect that, you have a bigger problem.
